I was flipping back and forth a bit because I thought the Jets might be competitive today, but they didn’t even show up. Frank Gore is the only person on their sidelines who even gives a shit at this point. And I think Darnold is a lost cause regardless of Trevor Lawrence’s availability - they’ve wrecked him.

I don't think they've wrecked him. He's essentially the same guy he was at USC. Can make the argument he didn't develop at all, but wrecked is a bridge too far.

The Jets are on course to get the #1 pick in the draft, which could be their QB of the future. Why fire Case, when he's doing a great job tanking the team?
It's not like there's any season to rescue here; they have the Raiders (who are going to be nasty after being blown out today), the SeaHawks, Rams, Browns and Pats left. I don't see more than one win here, even if they change coaches. I could see Case being fired with a week left, so the Jets could get a head start on the hot prospects, though.
