Incredible what a high demand (and low supply there has been). Tons of scammers out there on FB Marketplace and eBay probably emptying lots of folks' piggybanks too. Any news about the next round of pre-orders, or sites worth looking into?
does restocks every other day but they're very limited.
The bots are EVERYWHERE, they are ordering about 80% of them and flipping for 2x the prices even more sometimes, and you have idiots who don't know better and pay that.
I have my XSX and love it but would like a Digital PS5, had one from target online two weeks ago but didn't pull the trigger because I was buying a new TV.
Bought one for $900 off Craigslist. I can afford it, it's done and the kids will have a happy Xmas. And now I don't have to waste time/energy, possibly futily, trying.
I'll add that I know a guy who's an Exec. w/ GameStop, and I tried reaching out to him this week. He says their initial preorder allotment sold out back in October right away, but they're hearing of another coming up...although unfortunately shipping wouldn't get them to folks in the US until probably after Christmas.
I was going to keep it, as it is only for me and not my kids, but I saw what they were going for and I sold it on FB Marketplace for $1050.
I got it with the Spiderman game, extra controller, and the media remote, and dual sense charging station, but kept all that and just sold the actually disc version unit.
I am definitely not a scammer as I intended to keep it before
having zero luck so far. I'd like to try to find him one since he had a recent Covid scare...but it looks like there just aren't any around and I am not paying 1000 bucks for one.
I ordered a new MacBook almost 2 weeks ago, still hasn’t even shipped yet. Apple.com is completely wiped out. Supply chain for electronics is brutal right now.
My Son sat in line at Gamestop at 2 am black Friday. He was 8th in line. They only had 3 available. Shit out of luck waiting all night. Wife had one in the checkout online once and before she could hit send payment it went out of stock a second earlier. Horse shit....
2 colleagues have been complaining of being shut out
One had it in his cart twice only to have it sold out before paying. It's really frustrating with all the bots.
In general, gaming electronics have been in short supply for months. The combination of high demand in the pandemic and difficulty in supply chains has been brutal. For example, I had trouble getting replacement remotes for the Switch and Xbox at different times.
ive been trying, but pretty casually. Its just for me so if im not too stressed if i have to wait. I know the sites are trying their best to stop the bots, but its a losing battle. I feel bad for those trying to buy for kids losing out to assholes with bots who are then turning around and selling them for 2x3 times cost.
amazingly my sister got a text alert on her phone at 5 AM
from Target. She was able to get one and will be picking it up this afternoon.
Interesting. Do you mind asking her how she went about signing up for text alerts? Wonder if I need to register for the Target app or maybe set up a user account on their website. Must be one of these, b/c I can't find a way to be alerted on Target.com. Thanks.

OK, technically it's for the kids. But I own a XBox One, and they play it a helluva lot more than I do.
Got a $900 bundle on Gamestop, with the disc version, an extra controller, the wireless headset, Spiderman, and Call of Duty. We're gonna sell the headset and the CoD game online and make back some of the money we dropped. I haven't played a CoD game since Advanced Warfare, and I don't need a ridiculously expensive headset.

I've pretty much given up at this point. I'm sure there will be some available in 2021 and I'll just wait on that.
It would be nice if I could just put my name on a list and they'd ship me one when my number came up. I'm fine waiting.

Just saw this Frank
I'll ask her.
