Week 12 snap count discussion

allstarjim : 12/1/2020 9:46 pm
Hope to get some insights because I was unable to watch the game.

I noticed that Logan Ryan was in on 100% of snaps at free safety, with Peppers at 100% at SS, yet Julian Love was listed at 69% at FS also. So, question...did Ryan or Love play CB snaps or did they go 3-safety look often?

Also noticed Lemieux at 70% snap share with Hernandez at 32%. Thomas, Fleming, Gates, and Zeitler all received 100% snap share so curious that Lemieux got the bulk at LG while Hernandez got the rest and probably one additional on goal line.

Yiadom seems entrenched as the starter oppo Bradberry with 100% snap share. I do know he conceded a TD to Boyd, but how did he look overall?

The Yiadom TD was actually a solid

Play by the qb buying time and finding the open guy coming across. Similar to Eli’s game winner to Toomer vs Denver in 05.

Outside of that I think his play was solid. But that is not a good QB to benchmark CB results with.
I can only imagine Patrick Graham's answe to your question:

"Yes." - DC Graham
Niko was only in for 8 snaps yet had 2 big plays ...

The interception and the assist on the fumble Ryan recovered. Nice debut.
I found it extremely

interesting that Sy mentioned that Love played well & fast. He was a bit down on Love earlier this season. These guys can coach. Players improving weekly.

I know I was a bit off topic in that above, but Love probably was in 3 safety sets with Peppers and Ryan closer to the line on those plays Love was in on = probably 3rd downs.
based on those snap counts

they were in 3 safety look ~70% of the time since Peppers, Yiadom, Ryan, and Bradberry never came off the field.

I thought Yiadom had his best game of the season.

re: OL - IIRC, the only time Gates or Zietler have left the field is when Zietler got banged up. Peart was on Covid list so Thomas/Fleming got all the OT snaps, though Thomas was in a groove and had his best game so they might've kept him out there anyway.

With Fackrell out I think we'll see a lot more of him

He seemed to be very active. I suppose he’ll get more snaps now as well.

Lalos also drew a holding penalty on an inside twist pass rush.
It's encouraging that as some players go down

others are stepping in and making plays. The coaches have the backups ready. If I was Will Hernandez I would be looking over my shoulder..
