1,800+ word write up by Colin Lindsay that primarily covers game against Cincy. Also interesting perspective in third paragraph on how the Giants control their own destiny.
Indeed, for lack any better clichés, the Giants appear to be in the proverbial driver’s seat in the division; at least they are one team in the NFC East that actually controls its own destiny. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that the Giants’ remaining schedule is the most difficult of the teams in the division with four of their remaining games to be played against teams very much in playoff contention. That probably makes their season finale against the Cowboys a must-win situation.
However, win just one of the other four and it would mean that either Philadelphia or Washington would have to win 3 of their final 5 games to overtake the Giants. And while both the Eagles and No-names have slightly easier remaining schedules than the Giants, there aren’t many easy games left on either’s docket.
Will win this weekend. Giants play clean football and catch a break they can win too. Losing Jones hurts, but McCoy is a decent backup who gives the Giants a chance.

I'm pretty sure this game will be about the Giants secondary and whether or not our Edge rushers can make Russell Wilson feel uncomfortable. My bet is Giants won't score more than 17 points. Can our D hold Seattle to 16 or less? I'd never take that bet.

If the Giants somehow pull this win off I'd bet a defensive score was involved.
This game, even if Jones doesn't play will tell us more about the coaching staff and the talent on the team than any of the wins this year. I will be looking at game plans and effort. If we compete in this game, even if we lose I will more receptive to the idea that things are actually improving.
Grind it out Judge. Find a weakness. Burn the midnight oil. Show up with a game plan they do not expect. Give the team a schematic advantage that leads to a win and this team will die for you. They are dying to believe.
You anywhere near Long Lake, NY? I spent many childhood summers at the far northern end of the lake. Only way to get there was by boat or seaplane.
Yep- Lake Placid..Long Lake nice..Sigourney Weaver has/had a place there .
Sigourney Weaver? Wow, didn't know that. I'll bet her place was a lot nicer than my bunk at Camp Riverdale! (:-)
Yea probably but either way a Bunk on Long Lake summers...is stylin in it's own right.
I can't complain, but my last summer there we had a serious bear problem and they brought in a couple of rangers with pump action rifles. THAT was serious business. I was an ignorant age 9 camper and came across a bear caught in a steel trap. I stood there staring while the bear was chewing on its foot. Next thing I know, a very large ranger comes up from behind me; swats me across my shoulder, knocking me down; and then cooly walks up to the bear and delivers the coup de grace. That was around 1963. I can still see the look on that ranger's face when he turned back to lift me off the ground by my shirt collar. He was royally pissed and let me know about it in no uncertain terms how close I came to getting mauled.

Be interesting to know if that trap was state land or private.
