Do you give Ryan more plays at CB opposite Bradberry and allow Love and McKinney to split time at Safety?
Ryan has done really well at Safety and is doing just what you want a Free Safety to do. He may even be playing at a Pro Bowl level, but CB is the weakest link in the Giants defense and Ryan is most qualified to fill in there.
Is this a good move, especially this week against Seattle’s two very good WRs?
Doesn't Lockett play out of the slot. That would be Darney Holmes.
I haven't watch much Seahawks games but I've always have thought of Lockett as a slot WR..I could be wrong though.
Logan Ryan is going to need to play close to 100% of snaps, and do it really well, if the Giants are going to keep Wilson and his solid targets from going off downfield.
Lockett will most often be in the slot, guarded by Holmes. At least in man schemes. In zones, they'll do the usual rotations in attempts to fool Wilson.
I doubt Yiadom would intentionally be tasked with covering Lockett in man coverage...
That is in essence the three safety look I THINK.
I could see Peppers spying on Russ
I'd be more comfortable keeping Ryan where he is because he is many times the last line of defense and it is easier to call the signals as a deeper safety.
If there were an injury to Yiadom, I would be inclined to move Yiadom outside and have McKinney play the slot.
I'm also excited to see if they can incorporate both McKinney and Peppers as linebackers against the Cardinals or even sometimes the Ravens. Maybe even use them as a spy.
Since Love is getting better and McKinney is back (but still limited) you’d get the most value using them all in multiple roles making it more difficult for Wilson to figure out who is going to be where.
His numbers against single coverage are mind boggling. I not only wouldn't single him with Bradberry, I'd put Bradberry on him and double him on just about every play over the top.
Lockett is a good player capable of great games but that's the poison you have to pick.

Metcalf is a force of nature having an all time season and he is a few flukey plays away from it being even better. He has a chance to become only the 2nd currently active player other than Gronk to go over 16 receiving touchdowns this year. Without the flukey plays he'd be on pace to join Jerry Rice and Randy Moss as only the 3rd player to go over 20.

I would double DK and leave Bradberry on Locket 1v1.
If Bradberry's style was a better fit for Lockett I'd do that, but Lockett is almost all speed and that's Bradberry's only shortcoming.
Holmes has been stepping up so I think I'd actually just have him travel with Lockett. Or if he's matched up with Yiadom give a lot of a cushion. That would allow some underneath throws but should also keep them in the game. Make SEA execute in the RZ and hope you can hold them to some FGs.
Philly actually did that pretty effectively, other than the 200 yards they almost gave up to Metcalf trying to play him 1 on 1 with Slay.

Wilson can move in the pocket better than anyone we'll face. We must get in his face with timely blitzes and not allow him to get that deep play off or accurate.
This game will be close, I think, as we are not going to go to Seattle flat with the division on the line whereas Seattle is coming off a big win, shorter week, and perhaps may (not likely but perhaps...) come out a little flat? I an dream right???
We win this game and stay healthy doing it I really like our chances for the division title.
