Yes sir, I expect Jones to be listed as Questionable all week long with the Giants claiming that they hope that he can go Sunday only to be ruled out on game day. The benefit of having Thorson on the PS is that they can have him practice as McCoy's backup all week and then be activated on Sunday if/when Jones is ruled out.
Beckham tweaked his hamstring in that sunday night game against the niners, everyone said no chance he plays and then played in the thrusday night game against the eagles..
you dont know how bad Jones hamstring is, the giants will not put him out there if hr is not ready, the fact he is traveling hr is a good sign though
the fact that the injury might not be that bad. Him not going to the locker room during the Cincy game I think was a good sign. If after a few days of ice and rest Jones is 90% or so, there wouldn't be any reason for him not to play..
If there is risk of more damage to the hammy while playing, absolutely not. But it might be a pain tolerance thing. Guess we will see today and tomorrow.

What DJ had was more than a tweak. A tweak and he comes into the game last week and can still throw the ball

Hamstring injuries are notorious for being "re-aggravated" or worse. There are games to be played after this one, if Colt McCoy has to play, I'd rather it be one game in Seattle to let Jones rest as opposed to 4.5 games because Jones makes it worse.
Quarterbacks play through hamstring injuries. Russel Wilson was on the injury report with a hamstring basically all of 2018. If it's not severe, he'll play.
The extent to which that impacts his play is another story. The dude who came back in the game last week isn't going to cut it. He's got to be feeling and moving better than that.

The MRI called it a strain. That would be a "tweak". It wasn't a pull or a tear which are significantly worse. A strain is usually a week-to-week designation while a pull is a month or longer and a tear is surgery and end of the season.
about Jones’ injury and possibility of playing until I hear from Chris Mortensen. I hope my memory is correct about Mortensen’s reporting regarding Eli’s condition some years ago.

If that’s accurate. All we have is a sources say type deal here correct? Is it beyond the realm of possibility that there is some gamesmanship going on here. Fact of the matter there is only a handful of people with this information and Judge comes from the BB school of things. Really having a hardtime believing that isn’t a grade 2 type pull. Hoping I’m wrong here, but I guess we will find out Sunday. I’ve heard the argument, well they wouldn’t fly him out there if he they thought he couldn’t go, like these guys are flying cramped commercial like Joe Schmo. DJ can stand and walk around the plane all flight if he wanted to.

Yep--if memory serves Eli never recovered from that crippling injury. Poor guy could have had a good career here. At least Mort scooped us and saved us any drama.

christian, you're a bright poster, but your two paras contradict one another. Of course, it's going to impact his play, even if 'feeling and moving better' than when he went out the second time.

The OL, while improving, is not the OL that protects Rothliesberger, or the Giants' OL that protected Eli circa 2010. Jones just can't sit back there, like a sitting duck, and throw the ball. He's competitive, he's going to want to zig and zag and run. Those are the kinds of jerky, sudden movements and tweaks that convert a "strain" (and I believe it's well more than that) to a bona fide 2nd degree strain/pull.
👍🏿👍

Why? Us fans know next to nothing on his daily treatment and overall prognosis.
The key is whether he can plant that leg to get some oomph on the ball.
Either way, it won't be an easy game.
Are you guessing or did you see this somewhere?
Unless he's likely to play (like 70-80% he dresses), it doesn't seem wise to send him on a 6 hour flight where he can't keep loose.

Joe Judge jist said it

Judge will play up the "nobody gives us a chance" angle. Team responds. It'll be a one score game, mid 4th qtr.

He still might not play but can we wait to see what the team has to say about that first?

Judges said he would
Moving around about 75% it looked like

Vs
B. He plays somewhat damaged with limitations with the possibility of further injuring it
No brainer for ....I choose A
Eagles game was on Monday night, not Thursday.
