Looking to transfer my mom's old Super 8 Film to digital format for Christmas. There are enough roles that it makes sense for me to a machine and do it myself. Does anyone have one that they can recommend? TIA.
I'd like to do the work myself, as I foresee more the reels surfacing in the future. A decent machine run around $300 it looks like, so it would be wise for me to buy one.
Runs in the low $400.00 range, for projection and scanner...(see amazon for starters)...best to also have a couple bench mounted rewinds, film cleaner-pads and a splicer. Once digitized, add soundtrack and you’ll be balling like Clark Griswald up in the attic in Christmas vacation!
