HA!
Very true

I have no ill will towards the Browns, and I'm sick of the Steelers. Still, it's hard not to chuckle about the lead starting to evaporate.
Game is getting interesting now but i'm confused
Giantfan21 : 1/10/2021 10:42 pm : link
why they didn't go for 2 there ? Down 13 go for 2 and make it 11 so you only need a TD/2 point conversion and a FG. Now they need 2 TD forsure
I am glad I am not a Browns' fan.
St. Jimmy : 1/10/2021 10:42 pm : link
Not a lot of fun at the moment.
What’s the thought process passing up the 2 pt conversion
glowrider : 1/10/2021 10:42 pm : link
And bringing the game to 11? 12 pts or 13 pts no diff. 11 gets you to fg+td +2pt conversion to tie vs needing two yds to win.
I mean, think about how brutal it would be
Greg from LI : 1/10/2021 10:43 pm : link
Not only to blow a 35-7 first half lead, but to do so against your biggest rivals? Who have utterly dominated your team forever?

As bad as the 2002 Niners game hurt, imagine if it had been against the Cowboys.
Browns..

They're playing not to lose rather than playing to win. That often backfires.

Or imagine if it was against the Eagles with the division title on the line.

Oh wait... that did happen.

Or you win with two TDs and two EPs. I think it was def right. If you go for two and miss you only tie with a td and EP
If the Steelers score here -
FatMan in Charlotte : 1/10/2021 10:45 pm : link
they will be within a score with basically a quarter left
Wow, completely different half for Baker

The Eagles are a massive pain in the ass, but at that point they hadn't won shit since 1960. Not only have the Browns been, well, the Browns, the Steelers have six championships.

Even the Browns will admit the clown show of the first quarter were mostly flukes. That bad snap TD kicked off a chain of bizarre events. They have 34 points on 250 yards lol. 250 yards usually turns into about 17 points on a good night, but 34?
I think they should’ve gone for two
glowrider : 1/10/2021 10:51 pm : link
There is no diff between 12 and 13 points. If they got the score to 11, and they have a drive falter but are within fg range, they can bring it to a one score game and not force a fourth down go for it situation. There wasn’t a downside.
I have zero memory of the 2002 game
Greg from LI : 1/10/2021 10:52 pm : link
So I looked it up. Browns were up 27-14 at the start of the 4th and 33-21 with ten minutes to go. Steelers scored two TDs in the last 3 minutes to win 36-33. And with Tommy f'n Maddox at QB, no less.

No it was 35-22. You miss the 2 point conversion you are still up 13 . You make the extra point you are up 12. What is the difference if you are down 12 or 13 ? Being down 11 though makes a big difference since you only need a TD/2 point conversion and a FG

I agree this overall would be probably worse than anything Giants have experienced.
I'm feeling a Browns

Turnover here
And the Browns finally get the stop
Greg from LI : 1/10/2021 10:53 pm : link
Gotta do something here to get the momentum back.

that was a big first down

I remember thinking there is no way the Giants
St. Jimmy : 1/10/2021 10:54 pm : link
blow this game in 2002, the Browns already had a huge calapse today.

The Steelers lost the momentum with punting it looks like.

100% agree with Collinsworth
Giantfan21 : 1/10/2021 10:56 pm : link
Tomlin got too conservative and lost momentum
The Oilers/Giants just needed to throw a screen pass.
shockeyisthebest8056 : 1/10/2021 10:56 pm : link
They also needed Nick Chubb.

thank god tomlin doesn't coach this team
GiantsFan84 : 1/10/2021 10:58 pm : link
he's an awful coach. he has uber talented teams every year and can't win shit
you cannot punt there
GiantsFan84 : 1/10/2021 10:58 pm : link
you have all of the momentum and by punting he gave the browns a W

Might be a season too early to sign a WR, plus we can draft one for much cheaper.

Giants need 2 top WR. This is the worst receiving core in the league
