Nico Collins

SleepyOwl : 1/10/2021 6:47 pm
6'4" 220+... Nico Collins is a big, fast, strong receiver. Able to use his frame to shield smaller defenders, can also beat defenders with his route running and leaping ability. Dangerous red zone target because of his physicality at the catch point. Great kid, on and off the field should definitely be in play RD 2 and maybe RD 3.

Personally, I have always liked Michigan Wolverine WR. Amani Toomer and Mario Manningham both hold a special place in Giants history as SB winners; this kid could potentially follow in the same tradition.

You have suggested the second round as a landing point

for a number of WRs that seem to be rated considerably lower than 2nd round talents on various draft sites.

Any reason for this, or do you just like throwing stuff against a wall to see what sticks?

Why the attack on someone sharing a potential prospect report? Because he said 2nd round? People seem to be looking to be fucking dicks to the world lately. Thanks for sharing Sleepyowl. These type of threads add value to the site versus these shit replies from miserable fucks.
Nico Collins definitely creates match-up problems

Very good player.

As an aside, IMO the most under-rated WR in the upcoming Draft is Amon-Ra St. Brown out of USC.

I believe he is going to be a star receiver in the NFL.

No dimwit, because this putz is going to start 5 threads on five "second round' (to 6th round) prospects, instead of bothering to make a fucking list of "day two or three" WR prospects where numerous guys can be discussed and commented on, perhaps by followers of their college programs...

And yes, I am pretty fucking sad about the pathetic quality of so many of the threads started nowadays, just like this one. Not 3 minutes of effort put into this type of thread, and that's kinda pathetic. I guess I'll steer clear to let the nitwits hash these out?

Shame on me for trying to poke a guy into THINKING a little before posting, I guess.

GFY pally.

Well, that's a fair amount of time responding to 'not 3 minutes of effort', huh? Hope it didn't take too much away from your bust schedule.
not at all.

Because he is Blue Lou, the miserable old twat who checks out with a cart full of groceries, pulls off to the side to check his receipt, then comes back to the cashier to complain about paying $1.00 more per pound for shrimp.
What is wrong with people. Seriously. Go out of your way to be a jerk

Pathetic.

Too bad a good football discussion is lost in the shuffle.

Collins looks good. There are a number of options for WR this year in the draft and FA, which is good because we need more than one.

Hey, guy hope all is well. Just posting on some players that should be on the radar for the Giants. Not everyone on this forum is familiar with college players so it's a good time of year to get the people educated. On Nico Collins Todd McShay had this to say,

Nico Collins returned to school in hopes of boosting his draft stock.

And while it's unknown whether Collins will get to play his senior season, Michigan football's star receiver is still highly regarded by at least one draft prognosticator.

In his latest NFL mock draft, ESPN's Todd McShay projected Collins to be taken in the first round with the No. 18 overall pick by the Green Bay Packers.

"Seriously, what are we doing here?" McShay wrote. "Ten first-round picks for Green Bay since 2012 and only one — Jordan Love, a quarterback — went toward the offense. Odd strategy when you have one of the game's best QBs in Aaron Rodgers now entering his age-37 season. Aaron Jones broke out, and Davante Adams is going to put up points, but can someone in the Packers' front office get this man another playmaker? Please.

"While Collins had just 37 catches last season, he turned that into 729 yards and seven scores with mediocre QB play. He's a physical beast, with a 6-foot-4 frame and plenty of vertical speed."

Cheers mate

Receiving information on draft prospects is great, but it's nice to see the links too, because it looks like your info is maybe a year old? Serious question: McShay has Collins being selected 18th overall in his latest mock?

And I still think going prospect by prospect is an exceedingly taxing exercise for those you wish to converse with, but folks seem to enjoying it except for my suggestion that you cover a few WRs in a single thread...

It is odd that anyone would watch the Packers this year and think, "If only they had more weapons". Adams is one of the best 3 or 4 WR's in the NFL, Valdes-Scantling is coming into his own, Lazzard is a good player, and TE Tonyan is a very good 2-way TE. Add in RB's Jones, Williams and Dillon, and GB is loaded on that side of the ball.

Curious what you all think about Simi Fehoko out of Stanford
Mip12 : 1/11/2021 5:28 pm : link
Seems like a similar player in terms of size and speed comp, but I haven’t watched him play much outside of the bowl game which was obviously very impressive. Any one familiar with him?
