Per Schefter "Former Falcons’ HC Dan Quinn is flying to Dallas today for his first interview for the Dallas Cowboys’ DC job, per source. Quinn is the favorite for the job."
He was. Seemed to get stuck in his ways a bit too much though with Atlanta, initially sticking with the Cover 3 stuff without the horses for it, then still largely sticking with it when the rest of the league had figured it out.
Quinn was the DC for the Seahawks when they won Super Bowl XLVIII. But Pete Carroll is also a Defensive coach. Wonder how to split credit between the players, Quinn & Carroll?
My guess is it's mostly the players.
Don't see any overlap in their careers and no obvious connection besides being NFL Head Coaches against each other. Reeks of ownership foisting a "name" on the coach. At least in the case of Jason Garrett with Joe Judge they both had ties to Nick Saban.

He signed up to work for Jerry Jones. Do you think not having much of a say in decisions is taking him by surprise?

If he was soooo good as a def coach then why has Atlanta’s def has sucked the big one for years.
I maintain that Seattle’s def back when he was DC was good on its own he really added nothing more.
