I was going to post that his entire “Desire” album is full of great and under appreciated songs, it’s probably my favorite Dylan album.
Saw this thread and the first thing that came to mind was:
"Reconsider Me" - Warren Zevon. Why wasn't this song a hit? There are some beautiful, beautiful covers of it. Grace Weber's version is especially good but I don't think it's online anymore.
Also Zevon: "The Indifference of Heaven," and his version of "A Certain Girl." A lot of stuff on his "Transverse City" album is underrated, but I would especially point to "Nobody's in Love This Year."
Roland and Excitable Boy both good too. Perhaps even more underrated: "Veracruz." I'd say "Accidentally Like a Martyr" but it popped up on some list of the 100 top rock songs ever, so I guess it's rated pretty highly by somebody.

The Police - So Lonely (I could listen to this on repeat for hours when I was younger and feeling melancholy - not sure why I found this song uplifting and kind of the "stop feeling sorry for yourself, you pussy" song)

Hate to be 'That guy', but I was never a Nirvana fan.
I can see both sides of the aisle when it comes to liking and disliking Nirvana.
I won't say I don't like their songs but I cannot listen to them anymore like I did in the 90s/early 00s. I used to be a big fan.
That Unplugged in New York City album is still my favorite performance on TV by a band or an artist. Sucks the 90s were like ... 30 years ago, man.
I liked Pearl Jam first and irrationally felt almost like it was a competition and I had to pick one of Pearl Jam or Nirvana (and forget Soundgarden or Alice in Chains), so I stuck with Pearl Jam, though I would still listen to Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden when they were all massively overplayed on the radio.
Still think Pearl Jam was better but I have grown to appreciate Cobain (and Grohl) a lot more and Nirvana unplugged is a classic.

This song takes me back to late 2005 and pulling into my friend's driveway at his old parents house across town. Being 18 - going on 19, meeting so many different people (who I never see anymore). Oh, the times.

Deep Purple's Purpendicular Album Is a classic from front to back. Right up there with In Rock, Machine Head and Perfect Strangers. It was the first album with Steve Morse and he brought the life back to the group. Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming has that infectious riff.

Nirvana was the better band. They broke the scene open. Pearl Jam is pretty good but they're so damn derivative.
