Metal version......

Deep Purple's Purpendicular Album Is a classic from front to back. Right up there with In Rock, Machine Head and Perfect Strangers. It was the first album with Steve Morse and he brought the life back to the group. Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming has that infectious riff.

Ghost - Life Eternal

Def Leppard - Run Riot

Avenged Sevenfold - Buried Alive

Trivum- The Wretchedness Inside

For anyone that listens to Metalcore
Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells and It's hard to speak without a tongue.

Killswitch Engage - Eye of the storm (Howard singing) and Us Against the World (Jesse singing)

but will first give a thumbs up to whoever mentioned Marillion, one of my fave bands since High school. Seen them live twice.

a few off the top of my head:

Billy Joel - Zanzibar
Macklemore - How to Play the Flute / Levitate
21 Pilots - Trees / Goner
Tragically Hip - In View
Lenny Kravitz - The Chamber
The Poice - No Time This Time
Squeeze - Up the Junction
Elbow - The Fix

Last one I will add -- if you have never listened to or hear of Jon Bellion, I highly recommend. Prolific song writer for himself and others.

I dropped Marillion earlier. And Zanzibar is a great addition to the thread.
