For those of you advocating Waddle....he is TINY. The whole big receiver thing I am into, but we can sign a small, fast, sturdy guy in FA for not that much in Samuel.
Yeah but can we sign one as fast or as much of a game breaker as Waddle, who’s also about as dangerous a punt returner as could be?
He’d add a much needed dimension to not imply our O but our specials as well. If Smith is gone, he’s the guy I want.
Um yea, Samuel. Although why do we need him to return punts?
Umm, because he’s great at it.
We need playmakers and he can make them in several ways. Why wouldn’t we want to use all his skills? Or anyone else’s for that matter?
Peppers is good at them too....plus he is about 40 lbs heavier than Waddle and wont die if he cuts the wrong way.
You really want another sprout at receiver?
If we could add a Deshaun Jackson in his prime type guy, you’d pass?
And I didn’t say Waddle was just good at returning punts, I said he was great at it. While I do think Peppers is pretty good when he’s not fair catching, I haven’t seen him be close to great there. At least not yet in Blue.
Waddle is not the prospect Jackson was....ever. Never ever. And even then, Jax slipped to rd. 2.
Waddle is not the prospect DeSean Jackson is says who? You? Jaylen Waddle will most likely be drafted in the top 20 picks several slots higher then D Jax
Stop with the drafting of midgets!!!
You’re right who cares about skill level height is the be all end all
has crazy talent on offense, but is no one else very impressed with Mac Jones? Daniel & Mac Jones anyone??
Not Jones per my post above. IMO he is a good college QB who looks like NFL material because of the talent around him. I much prefer Fields
Eye test is showing the opposite. Fields has the athleticism but looks scared out there to me. Jones is in complete control and never seems to panic. I think someone is going to get a steal with him in the last first, early second

I could definitely be wrong. I've just seen this a lot of times (since I'm now old). He gets a lot of time, hits open receivers who will be #1 picks, etc. However you never know. Its clear though that Smith and couple OL players are 1st round talent
he's ripping up the #2 team in the country single- handedly.
I'd love to draft him
He's a terrific player, but a ton of this is scheme.
And OSU just short on healthy talent.
Agreed its scheme. However in big games I look for who they are "scheming" to get open, its obviously who they think is their best player. They are running their whole offense through Smith tonight, even running plays
which he’s very good at. Ohio State DB’s can’t get near him in coverage. At the beginning of the year, that was one skill that people thought he was better than Waddle at.
You never answered the question. Would you take a Deshaun Jackson in his prime type guy at 11?
So youre asking me if I could be guaranteed of a prospect having the success of Dijon Jackson at 11, would I draft him there? That's a dumb ass question. Because:
A) of course I would
B) there is no way you can come close to guaranteeing Waddle is a 10k yard receiver and top all time PR
C) The Eagles and 32 other teams didnt think that about Desean coming out of college because he lasted till the 2nd.
Going to the Eagles as a result of the Giants winning a few games that mean nothing in the grand scheme would be a total nightmare.
Can we stop with the meaningless win whining. Eagles need QB and OLine more than WR. Giants need almost everything. Would love to get Smith but I would worry a little about his extremely slender build.

Horrible argument.
No, I was asking you that because of your lack of size comment.
In other words did you dismiss DJax too because of his size? If so, and knowing how he excelled regardless of it, why would you dismiss Waddle because of it? Did the lack of size prevent DJax from being a game breaker and a very successful NFL player?
I think they’re done now. Even if Fields lights it up in the 2nd half, OSU has shown no reason to believe they can stop or even limit Bama from scoring.

Waddle has all the tools to be as productive IMO.
Fair enough, but Waddle has already gotten hurt in college. You do realize guys like Marvin Harrison and Jackson are incredible anomalies in the league right.
Fuck it...Id much rather take a chance on Pitts than another TINK receiver.
even though I’m skeptical of how he’d fit but I’ll just have to defer to the OC on that, whoever it is. Waddle is exciting but I just don’t trust guys that size. Tyreek Hill is just built way more compact and can take hits, and also wasn’t a top 10/11 investment.

Not that I'd be opposed to Waddle but we already have the all time collegiate record holder for return TDs on our team.

Yes, I realize that. I just feel the guy is special, will be a really good pro and can help us big time.
As for his injury, pretty sure getting his ankle rolled and broken really wasn’t size related. That play could and does happen to players bigger than him as well.
I’m actually more impressed by his work ethic, rehab, and drive to get back for this game.Let alone playing in pain, than I am worried about him being too small.

He's played in the SEC.
He'll be ok
He'll gain 10 pounds of muscle and at at 185. Which is still light, but still
Currently
12 for 215 and 3td
Its only the 1st half so you might have picked the under LOL
Again this D he looks like Rice 😆

Its gotta be a real possibility with Tua already there.

Ah. We are back to bitching about the Giants winning games. For fuck sake. This fan base sucks ass

Yup, Tua needs a WR badly. Devante Parker is his best WR and he's a #2 guy
Going to the Eagles as a result of the Giants winning a few games that mean nothing in the grand scheme would be a total nightmare.
...there is no such thing as a few meaningless games. Use Eagles tank and subsequent outrage for proof.

It’s unreal. Couldn’t imagine viewing sports through this lens, pure misery.
Mac Jones accuracy is also impressive

I guess you missed it. Kirk said it right away and then showed it on the replay. How and why the LB ended up on him.

I really hope we don’t win a meaningless super bowl in 2026 and take ourselves out of the running to draft Arch Manning that year
