Colts OT Anthony Castonzo has retired

Nice little career he carved out for himself. I remember he had a lot of fans on here during the 2011 Draft (and many thought we'd take him given the BC connection).
I wasn't upset at the time we picked Amukamara

I mean we did go on to win the superbowl that year with Prince... but imagine the impact, longterm, for Eli specifically, if we draft Castonzo instead...
Prince was one of the better Reese picks

along with JPP. Nicks was ok but did not have longevity. The Ross Reese years as far as drafting was pathetic. My favorite the JPP of TEs Adrian Robinson barely played. Engram and Shephard are the only ones left and not many are left in the NFL or ever had any success when they left here.
If only Nate Solder

would follow suit.

Nicks was more than ok at his prime. He was a beast in 2011 post-season. Reese's early drafts had a hell of a lot of good players blow a knee in a way hitherto unknown to medical science, just before their second contracts (Thomas, Smith, Phillips, Nicks and even Manningham all had catastrophic lower leg injuries which essentially ended their careers)

As much as his later drafts were largely busts, his early drafts (mainly pre Marc Ross) were on the plus side of good but injuries meant we got about an average of 3 years out of those players.

He drafted Tomlinson in round 2 of the Engram draft as well. Overall, his drafting was a disaster but he had a knack for DT’s and WR’s. The rest was a shitshow, especially after round 2. I know people get super pissed whenever people defend DG, but man did he walk into a mess. We just wrapped up year 3 of the rebuild so let’s see if we turn the corner in year 4. There were some encouraging signs this season.

Anthony Castonzo was an excellent OT. My friend owns a high school football recruiting publication.

I have read thousands of SAT and ACT scores. Anthony has the highest ACT score of any football player I have ever seen. His ACT score was virtually perfect.

Anthony is a scholar. Most NFL players are marginal students.
