I'm not sure his public image is that bad outside of core football fans.

He's looked at as the State Farm guy and the Discount Double-Check to a lot out there.

But I don't think he has the voice to be a full time game show host. He's good on tv and charismatic enough, but he talks pretty quiet and not clear or "attention grabbing" enough imo.

has done a very good job the first couple of episodes. But I can see why he might not want to do it fulltime, or at least let them go through some guest hosts before settling on the fulltime replacement.
