I turn it on because I'm in Florida and miss snow. Not enough to move north, but enough to turn on a show like LBZ. But every time I turn it on, it's spring time! or they're getting ready for winter...
I just started to watch a couple episodes last week.
I am a huge fan of these survival shows for some reason. I think you would like the show Alone. The last season was on Netflix and it's very interesting. It's about a group of people that attempt to live in the wild, usually Canada, for 100 days.
every Sat and Sun morning ...Susie, Jesse, the Hailstones,Rico my favorite and crazy Glen....if you watch a few shows you'll get hook....good real look at what it is to be out in rough terrain.
Too many of them get on their pro-nature/ anti-capitalism soapbox yet they have all sorts of modern luxuries. Some are worse than others.
I really respected Glenn Villeneuve's natural way of life but then I find out he has a family on the mainland and owns a plane! Where's all this money coming from?!
Glen would be crazy to live out there year round without....
some modern tech.....chain saw, snowmobile ect.I understand that but 6 month is still a bitch with or without. Grizzly Adams is just a fake story....if you believe that "old Susie got a nice story to tell ya"
some time back (maybe ~12-18 months ago or so). It was a fun listen.
He's pretty open about his family on land and etc. I don't think he's trying to fool anyone.
I watched the show for a period of time around 3 years ago when we were living with my parents while we had work done on our house. Dad and I would pour a bourbon at night after my kids were asleep and sit in the recliners and bullshit while we watched. Fond memories.
