He played well last night. I wouldn't send him to the bench. The team needs scoring and he's the best option after Randle to do that. Keep starting him and tell him to keep shooting.
Yes he is. They were times last night where Randle kicked to him and his defender didn't even bother closing on him.
When you look at his usage rate and minutes with his terrible shooting numbers- yes he is really hurting them and playing very poorly. This is on top of his bad defense. I'm not sure hows that debatable.
A lot of RJ hate. I get the frustration and he's gotta improve
but it's a bit ridiculous. He had 20 pts on 15 shots last night. He definitely wasn't killing the team. I actually think he's a pretty steady defender - not bad at all.
He's not efficient. I do think he can get there if he gets consistent with the jumper and improves his finishes at the rim.
He's 20 and leading the league in minutes. Maybe we show a little patience here? You could send him to the bench but I fail to see how that helps. It won't help him get better and there is no better option waiting on the bench, either. The team needs points and RJ is one of the few options they have right now to get them.

He was a terrible outside shooter at Duke and he's been a terrible outside shooter here. Right now, you have nothing more than form to suggest he can be even an average 3pt shooter.
That is the same argument that was hurled at me in preseason when I said Knox could be a good shooter. RJ can become competent. Will he? Idk or I'd be a scout (lol no I wouldn't they have miserable lives).
