These players that don't show up on the injury report all year and then get off-season surgery. Brutal sport
Mark Rodenhouser was a Center/Long-snapper for 15 years in professional football. He told me he's had over 70 surgeries and multiple ones after each season.
After his career, he had spinal fusion that resulted from the compression of people driving into him on snaps.
Eric Flowers' best year was his rookie season when he played on an ankle injury all year. 😈
Ereck Flowers lacks Andrew Thomas’ work ethic, attitude, and willingness to follow the coaches suggestions. The only thing these two have in common are their position and draft pedigree.
I will admit that I am worried that it’s a foot injury. While it would be far more worrisome if he was a WR, RB, or TE it’s still slightly concerning.
This makes AT’s rookie season more impressive. Yes Thomas struggled for much of the season but he also had some outstanding games especially towards the end of the season. We can expect big things from Thomas when he fully recovers and has a full offseason under his belt.
The last player that the Giants drafted and actually improved from year one to year two was Beckham we keep hoping for a miracle but we’ve yet to even get close to one.
I think should go back to the threads after the injury came out
Post season. Everyone was waxing poetic on how flowers looked while playing on a significant injury.
To repeat they are different people and this isn’t unique situation or at all releated; but it may put into perspective the fluid nature of a fickle fan base.

I made above regarding Mark Rodenhouser was meant to show that surgeries in the offseason are common, even multiple surgeries. Some are minor, some are significant, but seeing that Thomas played with the injury, it is likely something that is done now to heal fully in the offseason.
I would assume that it holds true today as it did about 10 years ago, but at that time, it was estimated that about half of all players have procedures done every year. Some could be scopes and just minor clean-up, but until we know the severity of a procedure and injury, just the information that there was surgery doesn't tell us much at all.

Get Better Big guy.
Duggan said it was an ankle he sustained in camp and played on it all year. Wow.
Apologies to posting after GiantsRage
The article was written as they were getting ready to play AZ - a record-setting performance.
Flowers never played as well for us as Thomas did during the last games of this past season.

Very true. And I was being facetious I don't actually believe the two have much in common.

+1.
I think the next person who mentions Flowers and Thomas in the same sentence - maybe even paragraph - should be drawn and quartered.

Dalvin Tomlinson and Nick Gates didn't improve?
Well there are reports from his coaches at Georgia and the Giants coaches.
