NFT: Lost a neighbor buddy on a routine procedure.

Neighbor buddy of mine went in for a routine prostate procedure a couple days ago and I found out he passed away last night. I'm in complete shock. He was in his early 50s, in great shape, swam every day, ate well, etc. I've learned he may have had prostate cancer and was doing this to avoid chemo but details are sketchy still. Seems there were apparently complications from a childhood surgery which led to complications in this procedure, and somehow he got sepsis and his organs shut down and he passed last night.

He leaves behind a wife and 9 yr old son with whom he played outside with every night football, soccer, bike riding - truly a great dad.

I just saw him a few days ago and he mentioned he was a little uneasy about a procedure he was having due to covid concerns.

Any suggestions on what to do for his wife/son? Our little town house row has great neighbors and everyone's trying to figure a way to pitch in and help without overburdening the family right now?
Wow.

That is awful. Much too young. Just continue to provide whatever support you can to his wife and son. I wish I had better advice. RIP. God bless. Prayers to his family and friends.
