Not a loaded question. Not sure what this means but it must mean something. Remmers was a starter on the Giants last year and I don’t think they tried to re-sign him again. The line last year was pretty bad. Now, he’s a starter on a pretty good line on a very good team. I’m guessing that the Giants expected to sign an OT and have Solder so maybe that influenced their thinking. Still, the fact that the Giants OL last year was so bad with a player that is now contributing to a pretty good line must speak to the coaching or the organization or something. We’ve read that the OL is greater than the sum of its parts which would suggest that a team would not need 5 all stars to be good. Remmers starting on KC might prove that point. Or, it might prove that KC knows what it’s doing and the Giants don’t. Does any of this make sense?
A good line can hide a weakness and it might be that Remmers is starting to get back to form after having an injury that limited him
Maybe because Mahomes is so mobile he gets out of the way and makes plays. They have so many weapons somebody is almost always open and the ball gets to them.
Remmers was adequate. He is not a star. I think Fleming is just as good - well there is not much different between the two.
Let’s be honest, if the Giants had chosen Allen over Darnold this board would have exploded. Also our opinion of Allen would probably be different if he was playing on the Giants instead of on the Bills.
Need that to stop.
That's why they let him go.
Been saying this. People are crediting Gettleman for some of our picks finally coming good, but I reckon it's the coaching that's made the difference, e.g. Peppers.

Coaching matters - a real lot - and the GIANTS have had dreadful coaching between Coughlin's dismissal and Judge's hiring.

Yes, I know Peppers came over in that trade, but you get what I mean.
Yes, coaches here have stunk for a while.

LOL. Wait - so the players aren't that good, but the coaching is doing it?? You may want to look to see what Bradberry and Martinez did before they were Giants.
I think the biggest problem with the Giants offensive line in the recent past is that you had proven average players who became scapegoats for playing to their level of skill because we just didn't have above average players.
- Remmers is an example of that. He is a journeyman starter in the league. When he is your 5th starter, your line may be OK. When he is your 3rd starter, that leads to problems.
- In my mind John Jerry was like that. He was a guy that you could probably get by. He was crucified here because the reality is that he was the 3rd best player on our line.
If Remmers was our RT at the end of this year, he would probably be our 4th best lineman behind Thomas, Gates, and Zeitler. Some incremental improvement.
