The guys interviewing for the HC job are being told , it is “preferred “ that Wenz remains the QB. Which means Wenz will be the QB. Wenz is a very talented player . That’s being lost in the current discussion . But he has Aaron Rodger’s attitude , without his production .
Death threats to writers in 1-19? Troglodyte Nation strikes again . I hope the Giants beat the Eagles 20 in a row .
this is EXACTLY the same situation the Giants had with Manning when DG and Shurmur took over...
Except Carson Wentz is 28 years old. This past season was his worst and he produced 21 td's running and passing. Prior to this season, he averaged 27 td's passing and 7 picks over the previous 3 years. Eagles management is not being unreasonable.
Pedersen panicked as we did when Manning had a bad year with picks, then pulled a McAdoo and paid the same price when Hurts sucked on national tv- and got the same treatment. Let's see what coach or owner trusts him again.

I think the biggest difference here is that Manning had already earned his status as a legit franchise legend - Wentz - not so much.
why is that being repeated? You were wrong then and wrong now.
McAdoo benched Eli ahead of time, not during a game which was effectively tied had they kicked the short field goal.
Again, Eli benched himself. Eli told McAdoo if he was not playing the whole game, he would not start and then be pulled.
I don't think this is quite correct. McAdoo told him he wanted to platoon Eli - so that Eli would play part of the game and Geno Smith would play part of the game.
If McAdoo had said "we want to get Webb some playing time, so if the game is out of reach one way or the other, he's going to go in", Eli wouldn't have had a problem with that, because that's standard in the NFL.

No. Actually it isn’t. Manning was at the end of his career and, I believe, in the last year of his contract. Wentz is in the prime of his career and the beginning of a huge contract extension. Yup, that’s the “same situation” except where it isn’t.

That being said I’d rathing be picking where the F’n Eagles are picking.

But other than that - it's pretty damn similar.

McAdoo might have been a goner anyway, but I think it's 50/50 on Reese.

I don’t know how anyone could want someone like him leading their franchise.
As I’ve said in countless other posts...I hope moving from #9 to #6 was worth it.
Philadelphia just keeps pulling on that loose thread.....
