NFT: Covid PCR Test Time Results

DaddyM89 : 1/19/2021 9:55 am
Long story short traveling to Colombia Friday morning. Country requires a negative PCR test (doesn't accept the rapid test) within 96 hours. Catch 22 here is if the results take more than 96 hours (went last night.) Anyone have an issue like this in the past. Not sure what they expect people to do if it takes more than 96 hours to get results.
I've had multiple PCR tests

If you really need a PCR fast

look into buying the Pixel by Labcorp home test.

Ive done a couple and they overnight it to you, you collect the sample, FEDEX it back and I've had the results in generally 36 hours from time the lab received it.

Actually I'm not sure if you can get it if you haven't been exposed or don't have symptoms, or have been recommended to test. There's a questionnaire on the site that you answer to see if you can get a kit it looks like. I've had to do them for exposure.

I think Quest Direct has a kit as well. Our pediatrician's office does PCR and we usually get results in 30 hours so I think it's a matter of asking around and finding a place where the turnaround time is quick
OP - where do you live?

There is a place in central NJ that does an in house PCR test within an hour. Allegedly only physicians office that has equipment for it (so they say) but it’s same thing that hospitals that have their own labs to run. Once again not an antigen but a pcr so I think you should be good for Columbia.

with travel and threading a needle. They quoted me 3-5 days but it was ready in 2. Usually you can call the clinic where you got the test and they will have the results faster than they are posted online. Good luck.
I'm in Manhattan.

Took a PCR test yesterday morning at about 10am. I woke up to a text message today that my results were ready. That text came in around 3:50am.
I went to an UrgentWay care center on 36th and 8th

Can't beat 18 hours for a PCR, IMO. And if you're interested, I also had an antibody test done and those results arrived, too.
a tip
