Man this stuff is good. He always posts highlights from past seasons that are relevant to the games being played now. This week he's showing the '86 and '90 NFC Championship games. This was before my time, but my god were the fans different back then. The game against Washington was absolutely insane with fans and players going nuts. The Washington QB had to be helped off the field at the end. I'm jealous for those who got to experience those games live.

Well kudos to Matt. Great stuff
Which I eventually found on youtube the other day after a search for it.
Those Summerall intros are amazing. I was born in '87 so missed the glory days, but these videos give me a taste of what it was like. The teams had such swagger, as did the fans.
Like every day after school from about 3rd grade till 5th grade. Some lean years those mid 90s teams.
Did not get to go to those unfortunately. Even more unfortunate was that I went to the Giants-49ers game two years later when Jerry Rice atoned for his catch and fumble early in the 86 playoff game by catching a last minute 78 yard bomb from Montana and taking it to the house to send us to a loss when we seemingly had won the game just moments earlier on a TD pass from Simms to Manuel.
Matt- best twitter account out there. My buddies and I have a group chat that is primarily reliving giant games by sharing your twitter links. Thanks for all the hard work!
Of course, I actually have 2 versions of it (where they say the Mets beat the Astros to win the World Series by accident). I'm going to post some NFL films stuff in the offseason to change it up.

Do you have the old "Giants Among Men" VHS about the 86 team? I remember we had that in our collection growing up and I used to watch that from time to time. I was only 3 years old in 86 so that was a little before my fandom lol.

There are two versions? I had the one with the mistake.
I've noticed that Pepper Johnson replies often!
Why did they ever get away from that yellow font?
From a quality of play and quality of presentation perspective, the 1990 NFCC is the peak of the NFL experience. Incredible.

I blame fox. They shined everything up in the 90s and added so much noise and filler and robots and redundant, loud talkies. All these networks now just over produce the shit out of these broadcasts. And that philosophy trickles down to the broadcasters themselves who apparently get paid by the exclamatory word or phrase. Every fricking play turns into a referendum on that player's career.
