The #Bears spent yesterday interviewing former #Giants and #AZCardinals defensive coordinator James Bettcher for their vacant DC job, source said. A candidate to replace Chuck Pagano.
So much hype, I remember the media guys saying oh man, Giants got a great one here but he’ll probably get a head coaching job in 1-2 years.
I’ll be honest, if Graham was on our staff during the Shurmur days he might still be our head coach. That’s how bad Bettcher was. I mean we had half the fucking Cardinals defense on our roster and it still didn’t help lol.

I thought would bring an aggressive, but smart scheme with him. But I didnt realize how effective having Patrick Peterson, Matthieu and Chandler Jones were to his mix.

He just never adapted to what he had. Instead he wanted players to adapt to his system and he did not have the right guys to play that system.
One gets the feeling that Patrick Graham can take the players he has and make a workable defense.
Who was the exact opposite of what he was touted to be. Innovative. He took over a defense someone else installed w some total star

overwhelmingly impressed with the Cards D. But I fell in and believed the hype. You'd have thought that after we got him all his Arizona guys the D would have gotten better.
And if we are owning up, I was WTF when Judge was hired (believed he was a fall back as we missed Rhule) and was pissed when we hired the DC of the Dolphins who's defense couldn't stop Eli last season. Graham (and I believe Judge) seem to make a system or scheme that works for the players they have. Seems like a better way to have success(its the Ted Lasso way!).
