Eagles are hiring Colts' OC Nick Sirianni as their head coach, sources tell ESPN. Sirianni spent three seasons as a Chiefs' assistant coach, five seasons with the Chargers, and the past three with the Colts. Now the 39-year-old Sirianni becomes the lead man in Philadelphia.
is one of those who's a better OC than HC, but that it takes them a few years to know for sure.
Hope he calls plays and does just enough to be around for a few years (while losing to the Giants), before eggles have to try again.. and again.. and again.. for the rest of my life!

League is trending towards young leaders who can command a room. Most of these new hires are under 40. As Rodgers keeps winning, McCarthy just keeps looking worse.
And most of his success has been with Rivers at QB, but by all accounts he is a hard worker. Will be interesting to see the staff that he puts together around him. It seems like that is more important these days than the prestige of the head coach.
Was much more to WFT releasing Haskins than OTF play, and ability. It can be reasonably argued that WFT still remains committed to Haskins without the Character issues. Not the same.

I suspect most Giants fans never heard of him - kind of like Joe Judge - I live in Boston metro and had never heard of him before he was a candidate for the Giants HC.

That Roomey Rule isn’t too much worth the paper it’s written on. How many McVay assistants have gotten jobs? At least two I believe. And Bienemy (sp?) and Deuce can’t get a crack? They throw this out idea that they haven’t called plays, but was Dan Campbell calling them in NO, Zach Taylor and Lafleur when they were with the Rams, and Sirianni who has never called plays.
Not mention Dan Campbell like he's a positional coach and nothing else. He had the assistant title and coached the Dolphins for 12 games a few years ago.
I imagine when the Giants are QB shopping next year that most of the posters giving me shit now will whitewash all this and act like they were saying Jones stunk the whole time. It's a BBI phenomenon I'm familiar with.

Really fucking frustrating, they need to have an epic offseason in FA and the draft.
I have never heard of Nick Sirianni until I read the tweets mentioning him.
I have no issue with OC's being hired as HC's or with Nick Sirianni, but i hope he is a disaster of epic proportions.

To be fair, the problem identified itself alot quicker and alot more clearly than the potential problem the Giants have (or don't have).
