Brandon Jacobs: Eli Manning was critical to my development

bigblue5611 : 1/21/2021 9:56 pm
I had to shorten the total, but Jacobs talks of how Eli was critical to his personal development. Even if others eventually eclipse his stats, Eli will always be the greatest QB the Giants will ever have not only for his playing ability, but the other intangibles be brought.

Get the credit he deserves.

He should be a 1st ballot HOFer.

Think of all the receivers he had that never did anything before or after him.
Name a player that succeeded after they left Manning’s giants

Shockley and New Orleans is the only one I can come up with and it wasn’t like he was a world beater with them
Martellus Bennett had a number of good seasons

was good before he came to the Giants.

Shiancoe had some decent years with the Vikings.

Linval Joseph :(

I know he was on defense but I wish the Giants had held onto him.

Hakeem Nicks made it to the AFC championship game with the Colts in 2014. Not only that, the Patriots had to deflate their balls to best the Nicks lead squad. ;-)

Then, he came back to the Giants, lol.

38 Rec, 405 yards, and 4 TDs is really “leading”

The idea you suggest - that Eli's receivers or supporting cast were hit garbage - is stupid beyond recount.

Should have left your opinions stand alone, or offer better evidence than a steaming pile.

Put Nicks, Cruz and Mannningham on Rodgers' 2011 Packers, Eli never makes it to the SB that year (giving him the Packers' WRs.)

They were only a force for one season. All three were finished by age 25. It was a very brief moment in Eli's career.
