I have been touting Schwartz for months now
He is a world class track star who is also a football player
Schwartz runs for the Auburn track team so he has never been able to dedicate himself solely to football
He is not refined but has all of the athletic ability, think of Bob Hayes
They have great hands and run good routes...I am interested.
Now, although very fast...he does not seem to be the multi-year type.....which tells me...he won't separate as well in the NFL.
I would like to sign Curtis Sameral and cluster draft a few of the WRs that will drop in draft (like Slayton)....with 2 very large WR draft class back to back....tells me:
1. The college ranks are producing plenty of NFL WRs.
2. Decent WRs will be readily available....the draft is still supply and demand based and supply is going up.
Brugler at the Athletic has Seth Williams at 90 of his top 100 and 15th Wide Receiver and Schwartz close by at 95 and the 16th WR’. Either way, I think both can be quality pros.
RE: To be clear...Schwartz lack of production was due to the inconsistent
but he seems more like a straight line guy. Does he have the twitch to get open on tight man to man. Reminds me of Parris Campbell. 4th rd is a yes for me.
I was intrigued by Schwartz's speed (and his last name!)...
So I watched a highlight reel and man was I thoroughly unimpressed. He looks very soft, immediately goes backward upon contact, and didn't see him break a single tackle. On top of that, it always seemed like they needed some kind of gadget play to get him the ball, rarely was there a typical WR catch and run in the highlight reel.
That being said, it's just a highlight reel and I got so frustrated by how unimpressive it was that I didn't stick with it until the end. Maybe the editor was saving the best for last.
Also, the plethora of gadget plays could be a result of him splitting track and football and not learning the offense well enough to master route-running and timing with his QB. He's a project who I'd be hesitant to spend a 6th round pick for him. He's got 7th round pick written all over him in my book, but maybe the draftniks (who have him as a 3rd or 4th round prospect) know better than me.

He is someone who will last until the 4th round due to his lack of production and his rawness
I would like him in the 4th for the Giants
Put Waddle and Schwartz on the Giants and defenses will have to play off the line
Bingo to Williams in the 3rd. Seen that possibility noted elsewhere if the Giants dont snag a WR in rounds 1 or 2.
^This. I am a big fan of Schwartz and Williams.
