don't trust those highlights ...he wasn't even touched and the holes were truck size....lets see run after contact against real schools ....hell Joe Namath could look like Jim Brown running though those holes.....I'll pass
alum. The football program was dropped shortly after I left. It's nice to see some good players coming out of there. Gerry Philbin was the guy back in the day, also a so-so QB whose name eludes me.
he has the ability to run through big holes for long gains on well blocked plays! ;-)
Smaller RB, more quick than fast. Don't see exceptional power, has good vision, and patience waiting for his blocks. Showed some start-stop elusiveness at the end of the video.
Maybe 1/3 a Dion Lewis with less power, unknown receiving ability and less speed. I don't see anything that says NFL to me.
but it's so much more sophisticated to point out he didn't play in the SEC. He played the same competition as Khalil Mack and Ahmad Bradshaw. It hasn't held them back. If he falls to the 3rd day, he could be a steal.

evaluating football talent but I seen almost every game Patterson has played (my kid goes to UB.) To my untrained eye he seems very good at getting every yard there is to get on most runs, and he had a ton them that get to 2nd or third level. Hard to tell for sure but he doesn't seem to have above avg NFL RB speed but he is quick as mentioned above. He's a great competitor.
That said, UB is a run first team and their oline dominates many of the MAC DLs. Just about every UB back averages 5+ ypc. They get holes to run through that don't exist in the NFL. Makes it hard to project. I guess this is where good scouts earn their pay.

I think i remember Andy Reid saying he used to watch the Thursday night MAC games and thats how Hunt got on his radar.
