Closed at $65. Up 50%. At one point, traded so fast this afternoon that they halted trading multiple times.

For those uninitiated, the idea is to short squeeze it. This week's gains will be peanuts compared to what many think will come next week.
just so you know

if your "idea" is to short squeeze it, you should not post that publicly. that might be securities fraud.

It's the general idea of a large group of ppl on reddit rallying behind a stock that has been shorted to hell over the years.
i know what a short squeeze is...

if you think coordinating with a group to force a short squeeze in public markets makes your case better (rather than a lot more illegal), you really need to talk to a lawyer before posting more about this.
so people on reddit are buying up the stock?
Platos : 1/22/2021 4:52 pm : link
or are they buying options?

this is also illegal if it is not grounded in a fundamental thesis. those guys don't usually post on a message board bragging about the success of their illegal trading.
Chat rooms exist all over the place for traders

Pumping and dumping absolutely happens.

I’m not sure how any one trader on BBI could manipulate anything on a stock with that volume unless you’ve got some serious cash and balls to go with.

Is one strategy.
I doubt it is Reddit

You would need a lot of cash to manipulate a stock traded globally and most people on Reddit are unemployed baristas

Plus a lot of stocks have been jumping 30+ percent in a day in this market. A lot of the alternative energy stocks. Vivopower went up 110 percent in an hour a while ago
