The #Texans are exploring the idea of Josh McCown as head coach but would surround him with at least one former head coach on the staff. Again, not as crazy as it might seem to go from player to head coach. And if anybody can do it, McCown can.
If it was say RG3 he would be fine with it. Wonder why
Head coach is such a different job than coordinator, I really don't see what the problem is other than Rolodex. But the thing is a guy like McCown's is probably huge considering his travels. He was like a 20 year QB, it's not like he doesn't understand the x's and o's on both sides of the ball.
Worth repeating that his rap sheet includes assaulting a woman.
So I heard Lombardi talk about the chiefs staff going back to Pedersen when he got the job with the eagles. He legit took most of the playbook right from Andy Reid. The offense in Philly didn’t take off until frank Reich got there. Word is, teams are shying away from KC guys because they feel it’s all Andy Reid and the talent they have.
They should give Alex Tanney a call instead.

At least Pederson went through the ranks properly. McCown becoming a head coach from nothing is a sick joke.
