That made me do a double-take..I don't recall that at all. Was that when he resigned after he was on the Niners? Honestly my memories of those years when the Giants started to seriously suck are fuzzy in my memory..
RE: You don’t beat KC. You hope they beat themselves.
Can KC be the first Threepeat SB Champ? As they will most likely win the SB this year, unless BUCS defense is that good?! Mahomes is just on another level as a QB, they have a great scheme and have the requisite skill players. Their whole team plays with such confidence and it all starts with QB.
I don't have much to add to what's already been said here -
while the Buccs definitely have the better defense, the Chiefs defense isn't anything to laugh at. It stymied J.Allen and S.Diggs last night, and that offense was lighting it up throughout the season.
Brady, while still good, should have lost that game last night with his three interceptions, but for some strange reason, the Packers always seems to underperform in the playoffs.
They have awesome coaches who seem to have their team better prepared. I can’t believe there isn’t a team out there who isn’t looking at either the KC DC or the OC to hire to be their head coach. Why are teams Interviewing Jason Garrett instead?
But the Bucs have the inside LBs that can cover Kelcie probably better than anyone else. Plus, they have the edge rushers who can do damage on the outside, remember Remmers is the starting RT. Plus, they are playing on their own home field which has to be an advantage. Don’t underestimate the Bucs (although I’m hoping they get clobbered).
good yesterday. Missed wide open receivers and three interceptions. The D won yesterday’s game. Packers D handed the game over to the Bucs. KC won’t do that.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the loss

The Bucs are poor against tight ends. That's more because of Bowles scheme though. Having a WR that can kill you with YAC and an elite TE is pretty much kryptonite verse the scheme he runs. Chiefs losing their LT and Remmers on other side though balances that out a bit. Should be a tight game.
Spags has Chris Jones and will find ways to get pressure in Brady's face.
Brady got bailed out by his defense yesterday. Packers only scored 6 pts off his 3 ints. He played a miserable second half and the Packers handed him a gift with that play before the half.
Bucs defense is legit but I think Mahomes will handle the pressure and then there's Kelce against a Bucs D that was worse covering TEs than the Giants.
Mahomes is a brilliant, ascending player. Brady is a GOAT candidate with an almost mythic aura but Spags and KC D will make him look his age.
Don't think it will be close. Chiefs are that good.
Fisher is a loss, but Mahomes is less reliant on his oline than most other qbs. As long as he has some minimal time, his pocket awareness and mobility give him a tremendous edge on even the fiercest pass rush. Mahomes has no glaring weakness in his game. Compare this against Brady, whose achilles heel was always pass rush up the middle and defensive linemen around his legs. It's what derailed him twice against the Giants, where he couldn't step up in the pocket. Mahomes pocket sense and mobility allow him to avoid rushers up the edge and from the middle.
The remainder of the team on both sides are fairly equal. Both have offensive weapons and can get after the passer. But I think the Mahomes edge is very real. I know saying that against Brady seems odd, but at this stage in their careers there is a gap. In fact, the Chiefs are a 2019 AFC championship offsides away from likely already having been repeat champions. The team knows how to win in the playoffs and maximizes its strengths very well.
i picked them to repeat no turning back now. I wouldn't want to lay too many points but gun to my head I think KC covers.
Just glad no real asshole teams in the bowl. Small victories for this NYG fan. Hopefully we can start to make january a bit more interesting starting next season.
Don't see them losing to the Bucs. The long suffering Chiefs fan base is coming out of the woodwork around here. Though, it doesn't really bother me too much (yet).
Plus I failed as a parent, and my oldest boy somehow became a Chiefs fan. I'm ashamed.
Luckily the other three after him are solidly in my Giants corner.
Bucs were getting killed for trying to get their run game the
last quarter of season and playoffs, but I think it's going to be key in beating Chiefs. They are pretty soft up front. I don't think you want to get in a situation where you are trying to win a shootout and let the Chiefs just sit there in coverage rushing 4. The teams that have beat the Chiefs or had a chance all ran the ball well it seems and it bleeds over in knocking their offense off its rythym. Of course the way the Bucs play on defense that's not really as important. Just think Kelce, Hill, and cast destroy them with big plays. What brought the Bucs here is probably going to be their downfall. An aggressive, attacking defense.
The first quality win the Bucs really had was the Packers and injuring. Shit they are getting lucky again with Chiefs LT going down which is a massive blow for what the Bucs bring on defense. Just seems like they may be a team that gets the breaks this year.
Fisher being out could definitely change that. Good news is that Remmers won’t have to go against Barrett, who times up the snap so well, I thought Barrett was the difference in the GB/Bucs game. KC has a really nice quick game though, even against Buffalo Mahomes was getting it out quickly. JPP could have an impact but I feel like he does better when the qb holds the ball a bit longer. Side note, I hate the way the Bucs defense tackles..it’s almost like they are coached to use their helmets, noticed it last year when they ended Barkley’s season and again in Green Bay.
...if those kind of mistakes are made against KC they'll capitalize unlike Buffalo. It may be a fun game, but I personally don't see a scenario where KC doesn't win this game.
RE: I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the loss
Likewise Fisher's loss will allow JPP to be disruptive. However, Mahomes is one step above Rodgers on the QB scale at this point. Reid and Bieniemy will design something to offset Fishers loss.
Bucs defense is massively improved since mid-season. But Hill and Kelce are virtually uncoverable.
KC 34 Bucs 27 (Tampa's defense is better than KC's hence the tight game).
Bills kick 7 FGs
Seattle was 1 yard away from doing it.
The Pats were potentially one drive away against Philly.
We were 2 games and a Plaxico bullet away.
Green Bay was 15-1 but ran into a NYG buzzsaw ending their bid.
I’m sure there were some other close calls I’m not thinking of but I finally think KC is gonna do it.
I think Brady loses Super Bowl #4.
35-24.
I totally forgot when Jacobs wore #34
I will say losing Eric Fisher at LT is a huge loss.
But I still think the Chiefs win by 10+.
I think the Chiefs repeat but, it is hard to bet against Brady (unless he is playing Eli).

Agreed.
I'm going TB 38-31
I will take KC 34 Tampa 31
Brown, Gronk, Evans, fournette... that's a very good group of offensive skill players. Maybe too good to count out.

You forgot Godwin.

I think the game is high scoring, but KC eventually pulls away.
But it's Tom Brady, so all bets are off.
I am pleased for JPP. Played a blinder yesterday.
Sounds familiar to the sentiment offered as a lead up to SB XLII...:)
Yes, take the points!!!
If RB Edwards-Hillaire (sp?) is healthy (he got the snot knocked out of him last night) KC will win easily.
KC is very well coached and well disciplined. I doubt that they beat themselves or make stupid mistakes.
If the Bucs play poorly: final score 35-15. If they play well: Final score 42-37.
I could be wrong since my predictions have never been right before.
Flipside of that I don't think Bowles is capable of scheming up a D to stop Kelce and Hill. Feel like they both have monster days.

Fisher is out. Remmers is left tackle. - ( New Window )

It's ok to lose Fischer.
Who needs a great OL when you can just hold and get away it?

There is KC, and then there is everyone else. They will have to have a really bad game to not repeat.

Well, that is definitely true!
Remmers vs JPP - I think the Bucs will win the Superbowl
