Lambeau field: Giants up 13-10, 0:06 left in the half, from the 37 yard line. Manning lobs up a Hail Mary, Nicks comes down with it to make it 20-10 going into the half. Was a back breaker for GB who held the #1 seed and failed to come back against the Giants that day.
Lanbeau field: Bucs up 14-10, 0:08 left in the half, from the 39 yard line. Brady takes a deep shot and hits his man to make it 21-10 going into the half. Again, a back breaker for the #1 seed Packers, and in this case it ended up being the difference in the game.
Of course the Eli Nicks Hail Mary was WAY more impressive. I have no fucking clue how the Packers let that dude get wide open over the top. Inexcusable. King had an absolutely ATROCIOUS game. He got beat on that play AND the Evans TD. Also called for a blatant PI penalty to end the game. That dude is going to be like the Kyle Williams of this NFCCG (I know that was a different team— but I’m just saying the poor guy is probably going to get a few death threats this week :/ )
Anyway, just thought the similarities were striking. In both instances it made a huge difference going into the half in terms of momentum (and huge difference between a 4 point game and 11 point game). Rodgers has not been the most clutch dude late in the playoffs over his career, but having both of those plays happen on your home field when you’re the #1 seed certainly puts a dent in your probability of winning a 2nd SB 😬
Brady also suffered many drops early.
Wss just as inexcusable that the Giants defense left a guy open in the back of the end zone on that exact ssame Hail Mary play at the end of the first half in the 2016 playoff game in GB. Instead of going into halftime down 7-6, it was 14-6 and the Pack had the momentum from there
Brady played ok...With 3 INT's he has to be happy with his defence...Thay won the game for Brady...They held off AR big time at the end of the game...

That play before half was inexcusable. GB is lucky Brady threw several passes too high today or it could have been worse.
Brady also suffered many drops early.
drops are the QBs fault. At least when it applies to Jones :-)
