Sleepers outside of the Top 50

Breeze_94 : 1/26/2021 12:11 am
Who are some sleepers outside the top 50 (right now)

CB Ifeatu Melifonwu- Cuse- 6'3 and extremely athletic, gave Dyami Brown fits in their matchup

WR Elijah Moore- extremely productive in the SEC, only 20 yrs old at time of draft. Changes direction and gets out of breaks at full speed. Only 5'9 though so he's a slot guy most likely.

EDGE Daelin Hayes, Notre Dame- Everytime I watched him he looked like a player. Can even drop back in coverage a bit, surprisingly athletic at 266 lbs. Has a nice spin move and can rush from the EDGE or inside

EDGE Patrick Johnson- Tulane

TE Tommy Tremble- Notre Dame- Great blocker and receiving potential is there

WR Tamorrion Terry- Freakish size and speed combo and was productive when he played

RB Rhamondre Stevenson, Oklahoma- stole this one from another thread the other day..looks like a tank

The wide receiver Moore

had a touchdown celebration in which he lifted his leg and pretended to be Odell,or a dog.

Something tells me he's not a sleeper in the Giant War Room.
Not entirely sure of

His ranking but Zaven Collins from Tulsa. Kid has the goods and the way he moves and reacts is absolutely ridiculous for someone his size 6’5 270 or something like that

Collins will likely be a 1st round pick. He is probably ranked anywhere between 20 and 30.

Collins is the type I pray every year will fall to us in RD 2 but winds up getting picked by the Ravens at the end of round 1 and becoming a pro bowler....
not entirely sure he's a sleeper

but Liam Eichenberg from ND could slip outside the top 50, i think he's an 8 year good starter in the league

Shiftiest wide receiver in college football.

His short area moves are ridiculous and apparently squats an insane amount..

The WR version of Barkley.

Not really a sleeper as he may go bottom half of 1st or top half of 2nd.

Is a monster of a runner. I think he is an amazing back who may drop to rounds 3 or 4. Would be an amazing complement to Barkley.
Deonte Brown G, Alabama
Capt. Don : 1/26/2021 10:19 am : link
If he falls to the 3rd, Id really like him. Reminds me of DJ Fluker.

Josh Palmer WR Tennessee
Rick in Dallas : 1/26/2021 10:25 am : link
6'2' 210lbs. His production was adversely affected by the terrible QB play at Tenn. Had very productive games against Alabama and Georgia who have top 50 CB's for sure.
The only knock against Palmer may be his undefined route running which can be coached up.
May be a real possibility in the 5th or 6th round.

Obviously it is hard to determine a true "sleeper" because most rankings are very fluid this time of year, especially depending on the publication you prefer, but here are a few players I like that typically are considered later round prospects:

I used Pro Football Network's rankings, and identified players outside of the top 75 (about 2 rounds)

Edge:
Joe Tryon, Washington (86th)
Hamilcar Rashed Jr, Oregon State (93rd)
Shaka Toney, Penn State (136th)
Victor Dimukeje, Duke (114th)
Chris Rumph, Duke (217th)

Cornerback:
Pailson Adebo, Stanford (115th)
Kary Vincent Jr, LSU (135th)
Deommodore Lenoir, Oregon (155)

Linebacker:
Monty Rice, Georgia (120th)
Tony Fields, WVU (143rd)
Jack Sanborn, Wisconsin (190th)
Ventrell Miller, Florida (195th)
Erroll Thompson, Mississippi State (199th)
Justin Hilliard, Ohio State (204th)

Defensive Tackle:
Marvin Wilson, FSU (112th)
Jordan Scott, Oregon (184th)

Wide Reveiver:
Amari Rodgers, Clemson (87th)
Nico Collins, Michigan (102nd)
Whop Philyor, Indiana (148th)
Dazz Newsome, North Carolina (150th)
Trevon Grimes, Florida (160th)
Tyler Vaughns, USC (168th)
Tamorrion Terry, Florida State (181st)

Tight End:
Tommy Tremble, Notre Dame (88th)
Kenny Yeboah, Mississippi (97th)
Nick Eubanks, Michigan (185th)
Braden Galloway, Clemson (203rd)

Offensive Tackle:
Adrian Ealy, Oklahoma (109th)
Alaric Jackson, Iowa (169th)
Landon Young, Kentucky (170th)
Rob Hainsey, Notre Dame (197th)

Offensive Guard:
Aaron Banks, Notre Dame (122nd)
Ben Cleveland, Georgia (138th)
Royce Newman, Mississippi (146th)

Center:
Trey Hill, Georgia (163rd)

Running Back:
Trey Sermon, Ohio State (131st)
Kylin Hill, Mississippi State (166th)
Brian Robinson, Alabama (201st)
Master Teague, Ohio State (245th)

I have mentioned LE several times. I mostly like him and trust the ND pipeline for OLs. They've produced some good ones the last decade.
Vin...

Dyami Brown of UNC is also coming out. UNC has some good skills players in this draft.
Don't know why this got cut-off...

But UNC RB Michael Carter is a good prospect, too.
UNC- LB - Chaz Surratt

Really mobile. Can fly around, penetrate, and cover. Needs some work on tackling, but I really like what I saw out of this guy. Former QB, seems like he could be great value in 3.

Me too. But he seems small. I recall that was a pretty good QB in high school, too... ;)

Tristan Wirfs plugged into the RT slot except for a few starts when Jackson was hurt sounds interesting.

He's not going to Yowza at the combine like Wirfs, and some suggest he'll project inside, too.

For a fifth or sixth round shot, he seems like a potential high reward. He's "quick out of his stance and an agressive run blocker who struggles against speedy edge rushers."

He intrigues me. I liked his attitude and presence on a Youtube video interview too.

"sleeper". There are no sleepers. Everyone with an ounce of talent is known by the clubs. Certainly everyone that BBI is aware of.

Drafts
Dragon : 1/26/2021 9:23 pm : link
Are perplexing the guy many want falls to us but in the Giants great BPA it’s always another guy why our final records and drafted special players tells us all we need to know. This is a year that we must make the right decisions about the draft and FA this team needs to be very realistic they are not two years away from competing or 7/8 players away. We have to get players that won’t need a year of learning before getting on the field of play positions no longer matters our roster has remained well below average in starters and backups for years and each year they believe were a competitive team.

It’s hard to believe but this team as of today has no position of strength or one truly special player damn hard to do that year after year yet we have. We are spinning our wheels in the same position right at oh we’re really just a dream away from being very good when in reality they are in the same position as last year very bad without talents taking the necessary steps to even become gamers.

How do we correct this don’t overvalue our present players provide competition in all positions we just wasted another year not a damn thing to really show for it. We must build thru the draft and UDFA let FA play it’s game then sign the one year scrap heap guys at league minimum no commitment going forward. Every year is a good draft we need to base our future on these young players the vets just keep exhausting our cap space. We may say oh yes we’re a young team but 5 guys or less that you want to build a future with out of 53 just does not made for much success going forward.

Really like his game. He was a 5 star recruit coming out who finally started to put it together this year. Think he can be had on day 3.

I think he could end up being a Za'Darius Smith type of player.
