Agree. I think of behavioral meds as a tool, not unlike eyeglasses, that are used to help people function in life better. I hope things like negative stigma to medicine fades away with education, and that the medicine is easier to come by for those who need it.
There is an excellent documentary about the life and career of Metta Word Peace (Ron Artest) - and how he went to get treatment and pretty much overcame his emotional/psychological disorders.

If bipolar disorder wasn't mentioned I don't think people would have brought up mental illness.
That said while I know that there are degrees of bipolar and it manifests itself differently in different people, I have it, one of my best friends has it, and neither of us would ever do something like that.
