Aside from her great role as Frau Blucher in the film Young Frankenstein, Leachman is featured in one of the all-time great episodes of the Twilight Zone: It's A Good Life.
Great actor. Loved her in all of her appearances in Mel Brooks movies. Tremendously funny. She earned an Oscar for
The Last Picture Show. When I watched that movie for the first time, I was stunned to see Cloris in it. I only knew her from her work in comedies. To see her in a drama was a surprise, and she was soo good.
Give?.............(great Mel brooks/gene wilder home run).....i heard an interview with Mel brooks, Breucar is “glue“ in German, Hece the horses screaming with fear everytime her name is mentioned......
RE: The Eurythmics have delighted fans for over 30 years....

I just heard on WOR that Frau Blucher was Mel Brooks play on the German word for "glue factory". LOL!
I heard a version that said Mel Brooks thought Blucher was German for glue and when he was told that it wasn't, he stuck with it because the name sounded funny and he could still use the gag.

Back to Cloris - she really was a funny lady.
