Source says Jeremy Pruitt will, in fact, be joining the Giants staff. Hiring not official yet and official role TBD Link - ( New Window )
is OLB coach, right? Not that they couldn't shuffle things around.
Pruitt's main role, with his long resume including HC and DC levels of prior experience, may be situated as Patrick Graham's understudy this year and successor to the DC position.
Judge is all about thorough preparation and the Giants need a succession plan NOW.

Didn't Graham just turn down outside opportunities and sign an extension with the Giants?

Has roots with Saban and DC experience. Saban and Belichick have for decades talked defense with one another so probably so shared beliefs with Graham.
Perhaps some long term thinking if they lose Graham at some point that you have a potential replacement or at least someone you can observe for a while.

I am sure Judge already has a plan for when Graham leaves and it might very well be a coach currently on the staff.
when they won the National Championship but left after one year amid rumors that he was sleeping with one of administrative assistants in the athletic department. He's generally been a pretty toxic figure at most places, but he always seemed to behave for Saban. Great defensive mind, hope the other stuff is under control.
society. Virtually every coach etc has connections of one sort or another with another as do recruiters/drafters and front office managers. thank goodness it’s no longer a white boys only society but for many reasons it will remain an “ old boys” society for sometime to come.
So going through who Pruitt knows, worked with, drafted with is just as true for him as most anyone else that might have been added, EXCEPT Judge worked with Pruitt.
setting the record for former Tennessee head coaches on staff
and read about the Vols 24/7. Up here Pruitt is universally acclaimed as an asshole and an idiot. Not a fan of having this guy anywhere near the Giants. Judge's affinity for SEC rejects gives me great pause for him being the right guy for us.
Do you think that if he had a winning record, he might have been regarded a little better? Or, would still be coaching there?
I have a question. There’s an offensive lineman at Tenn, a guard . Supposed to be very good but has a lung issue with blood clots. It’s serious and is probably will cause him to drop in the draft; I’ve read he would have been a 1st rounder. Since medical evaluations are reduced, would Pruitt be bringing information to the Giants regarding his health prospects?

That's likely the answer.
Phillip Fulmer is a huge POS. Guy has burned many bridges along the way. Outside of Knoxville, he has little respect or support. However, in Knoxville he is considered the face of UT and is lauded for his continued loyalty to the school.
Fail. You needed the Ted Debiasi gif with that post.
I'm in.

Yeah, so? Whats your point?
Excellent point. With the combine being cancelled and access to prospects being limited, this can be a big advantage.

Nice to see the Giants not letting that stop them from pursuing him.
Solid WR played for him at Tenn. Josh Palmer. Been looking good at Senior Bowl practices.

Wtf are you taking about? Two coaches on the staff is now setting some kind of record? Two? Seriously?
Seems like you’re just looking for something to bitch about...
found it odd. its a good program though.
I threw in the TC stuff for comparison.
good lord....
Can't ignore my alma mater, after all.

NCAA violations are BS. Most colleges do what he did, he just got caught.
