If you could get Drummond for practically nothing, i think i would do it..You get the rest of the seasom to see how he fits with Randle, he is only 27, if he doesnt fit you can still keep Mitch..
If Drummond fits, you could trade Mitch before you have to pay him..
yeah i mean this is pretty much what i said yesterday....
you only do it if you can get him for nothing. Adding talented NBA players like Rose and Drummond for nothing make the team better. Noel is better in short spurts and Taj should not be relied on to play every day. If Mitch has any sort of setback then we go to feeling strong about center to being very concerned.

Yeah, i was one who said no way, adding drummond adds a guy eho can pound down low, you will never get out rebounded, has more offensive game than any big knicks have..
and he is expiring so if it doesnt work you jist dont resign him
is close to working i think. I think if CLE can get a former lottery pick and save 16 mill or whatever they save by trading him to us vs a team that is capped out then its a good deal for them. I mean the rumored teams interested in acquiring him are pretty light on assets.
but id rather not trade both. For whatever reason former lottery picks that are their age still have NBA value so i think we could use them in another deal.
If it was Knox, Bullock, and Iggy we would have to add in like pinson as well or something. Either way we can make it work im sure.
Or yeah throw in rivers, i still like him on that contract, but if they trade him, so be it.

the only team i think that can flat out just take on that salary is Boston
making a trade. No idea if guys like Robert or Grant WIlliams or other younger players they have on the roster have value. I mean they could easily have more value then Frank, ha.
Also could make some sense for BOS to throw in a pick if that is what it takes, they are closer to competing the we are.

Boston has that big trade exception so it would just be a straight aalary dump, cant add anything to deal
refers to aaron gordon as the Magics best player, i think Vuc would have a lot to say about that. But this time i tend to agree, if you get him for spare parts then do it.
It makes no sense, Mitch will be back for most of the second half of the season. I have no interest in Drummond. Terrible fir next to Randle, terrible defender, can’t shoot.
I am not sure how some of these sports writers get these jobs. Berman literally knows nothing about basketball and how players fit with each other. Mitch is the future and he will be very cost efficient even after this year. I think I read his max is something like $14-$15 million a year.
He is having a season of extremes. He had a stretch of games that were downright tremendous and a bunch of other games that were simply awful, a real all or nothing type season. He's proven a lot to me with his best games. The next step is to cut down on the frequency of those awful games.

Different styles and players but to me RJB is similar to former knick Gerald Wilkins. Solid player and RJB has room to grow and improve as he’s only 20, but right now he’s an up and down solid starting player.
RE: I expect the Bucks to make a move at the deadline
I doubt it happens but imagine if Jrue Holiday bolts this offseason? All those picks and swaps out the window for 1 season of Holiday. Giannis trade demand wouldn't be far behind.
Looking back the Bucks really made some bad choices in team building. Letting Brogdon walk for nothing? Why not be more agressive in CP3 than Holiday given the cost and fit on the court? They really need to treat Giannis like a big man/ roll man with guards who can create. They really don't have that at all.

where I follow it closely and have definite rooting interests. I watch the NBA some but not that much (I grew up in the 90s a Knicks fan, but gave up on them a long time ago when JVG left--now, I am not a fan of anyone and just root for the Knicks and Nets since I live in Brooklyn to do well). For the people who follow it a lot, I just had a question, it seems to me that the dominant teams are not as good as they have been in say the last 10-15 years and upsets happen much more often. That the wins and losses which used to be more distributed to the top and bottom of the graph are now more concentrated in the middle. If I am right, which I am not saying that I am, is that a product of not having fans (or at least many fans) in the building? Or has the NBA just found "parity" recently.

No offense, but I think this is wrong. Since the 2012 season, a list of champions:
LeBron's teams: 4 times
Warriors: 3 times
Spurs once, Raptors once (in a season where LeBron was injured and the Warriors superstars got injured in the Finals)
In that span the Warriors made the Finals 5 straight years, and LeBron's team made the Finals seven (7) straight years.
This year is a little weird but there's a very good chance the Finals will be an LA team versus Brooklyn.
If you're talking about just this year, it's early, but the home-road splits are way different than usual. Partially due to fans, partially due to teams losing players to covid, partly due to a small(er) sample size.

would love holiday on the knicks perfect fit
Have dreamed of Holiday on the Knicks for a few years now. Perfect fit. Can shoot, good a penetrating and he's a Thibs type defender.
Knicks sold all the available tickets for the first two games
People in the front office view Randle as a long term piece and part of the youth
Because he's been in the league so long...I sometimes forget Randle is just 26. He's still a pup in this league. And he's been UFB this season.
He was on JJ redicks podcast, which is very good by the way, i think he was on yesterday..
He was tlaking about when he first came into the league, you forget he lost his rookie season and then his 2nd year there was no developing, it was all about Kobes final year..Hr basically lost 2 years of developing..
He also insinuated Lakers were never about developing their young players
I saw that Randle was on Redick's post. I plan on listening it on run tomorrow. Not surprised about Lakers not developing youngins during Kobe's swan song.
Incredible dunk, but he went 3 for 14 last night. I would take Wiseman, Ball, & a bunch of other 2020 dudes above Edwards right now. He's not even 20 so a lot of time for him to take it up another level.

Does that salary work?
Looks like this works.
You're right. That might be a sweeter deal for the CAVs too since Iggy is still on his rookie deal.

Really going out on a limb there!

Haha. Oh I know.
Most likely he was smoking a blunt last night and saw tnt picked him as a reserve and thought that meant he was an all star
