Does this happen to you? It happens to me a lot. You misplace something in the house and then you go nuts, and turn the house upside down trying to find it.
I may be able to help you find those misplaced items.
You’ve heard the witty saying: “You’ll find it in the last place that you look for it.” Somehow, that’s not very funny when you can’t find your car keys, or glasses, or wallet or cell phone. However, if you keep your cool, you might be able to find it in the FIRST place that you look.
Scenario: You are meeting friends for dinner and you are a little rushed for time. When you look in the drawer where you ALWAYS keep your car keys, they’re gone. OMG! I’m going to be late!
You get all excited and you rush around looking in a bunch of places where you might have left them. You look on the kitchen table. You look in the pockets of the last coat you wore, or purse if you are a woman. You check the floor and under the seat cushions of your couch. No luck, dammit! You’re getting desperate. Did you leave them in the car? Did you forget to take your keys out of the front door lock when you came in the house?
You give up and get the extra set of car keys that you keep in a bedroom drawer. Instead of looking forward to a fun evening with your friends, you leave the house wondering where the hell your keys are.
So where are your God damned keys? They MIGHT have been in one of those other places where you looked, but the MOST LIKELY place for your keys is in that drawer where you always keep them.
You should have looked a little harder. Because you expected to see the keys immediately upon opening the drawer, you got excited and gave up searching the drawer too soon. If you had kept your cool, gave yourself a little credit for not losing things (like your ten-year-old son does), and made a more through search of the drawer, you would have found your keys in the FIRST place you looked.
You’re welcome.
"Next time I'm gonna shove it up my Ass. So I'll know where it is!" OUCH!
The other possibility is that I'm old and lost my recall.
give me another scenerio.
And we have a car key rack on the wall by the door entering into the garage. Keys to all cars go on that rack...no matter what. House rule.

Ha -- so do I -- but sometimes I outsmart myself
