Bauer comes off looking like a complete moron. Total overreaction. He's being flamed from all directions for how absurdly thin skinned he and his agent are being. Especially considering how he likes to use social media.

To further expand...the day he made his decision, before he chose the Dodgers, Bauer's website started showing Mets merch with his branding...then it was taken down. Twitter users claim he was trolling and doing it on purpose... He says he found out the next day and felt terrible and apologized and as an act of good faith donated to NY charities.
Noah jabbed him over this, much to delight of Mets twitter. Trevor and his agent then got all neurotic about the joke.
And who cares. The Mets made a legit run at Bauer, and he did what he always does. In my opinion the Mets dodged a major bullet with this guy. I look at all the stats and those say Bauer is a middle of the rotation starter. Nonetheless, with respect to Thor, I’d like to see him come back from TJ and learn to become a pitcher, not just a guy who throws hard. If so, the Mets should sign him long term, because his stuff is elite. That is far more valuable than a guy like Bauer. Trevor Bauer is not Gerritt Cole, he does not have elite stuff..

Lol well what he's referring to is that Bauer got so neurotic about the Noah joke that he spent time digging through Noah's twitter history finding times where Noah quipped back at hecklers, took screenshots, and reposted them back to Noah saying he doesn't treat his fans well..
But funny thing is these were instances where someone would say to Noah "hey Noah you suck" and he'd respond with like a "Not what your wife said last night" type joke...

Very clearly personality disordered. Seems desperate for attention. When I was a therapist at a college for a decade, I'd have some students like him from time to time and I usually ended up having to end my relationship with them. Look at his history. He needs to be noticed.
The Dodgers visit Citi Field in mid-August this summer. I hope they set up the rotation so that Noah faces Bauer in an important pennant race game.

I know Walker prolly won't get as many starts , depending on injuries, but can you imagine if Walker's stats are in the ballpark of Bauer's? At a fraction of the $ (allowing us to more easily extend/resign our guys). That would be so nice.
Some of his criticisms of the league last year were not bad, but his delivery is a problem. He is an agitator. I'm not a Mets fan, but if I were I could see being annoyed by him. But, Syndergaard? Who cares what the ass says? Just concentrate on getting healthy and learning how to be a pitcher. I still think he has the best stuff on their staff if he ever learns to actually pitch and not just throw.
