@TomRock_Newsday On @WFAN660, NJ's @GovMurphy says a week from today any venue of 5,000 or more, 10% capacity will be allowed to attend, 15% for outdoor. That would include @Giants @nyjets at @MetLifeStadium, but they're not going to be there until September. |

+~350,000,000
No it wouldn't
Clarifying that for the "slow" crowd.
Its now 'Six Feet Away!'
Yeah, 100 percent capacity by September is a pipe dream.
That said, I expect the 10 percent limit could rise to be between 25 and 50 percent by the fall.
People should be vaccinated (of course some are declining).....
Wearing a mask and social distancing is now commonplace.
Just no hugging and high fiving when Daniel Jones runs one in from 50 yards!!!!!
Kudos to the adults keeping this apolitical. There are plenty of venues on the Internet for the other stuff.
Go to Florida. They have freedom to have fun and their teams are winners.
Here in this state we have to wait for everything which coincides with their sports teams being successful down there while we have to wait eight hundred years just to return to mediocrity.
There is even on outlier scientist talking about herd immunity by April/May
We are pulling out of this, and I can't wait
I agree. Just based on the numbers, the speed of the vax rollout, and a degree of caution from the authorities (that will probably be warranted IMO), I don't see 100% until 2022. That said, 50% this fall would be a good start. Interested to see how it goes with the Knicks, Nets, Rangers etc. in the coming weeks.
You can be annoyed, heaven forbid.
Yeah, that's crossed my mind for sure. Funny how none of us really wanted Thibs but he's the perfect MSG coach... the team will be gritty and defense-minded even if not that great. Shades of Mason and Starks. It'll come though - let's see how noisy the 2000 or whatever can be. I bet pretty noisy.
Look eventually we have to get back to normal and let the chips fall we they do.
They are talking by April/May all will be eligible for the vax - all the elderly, responders, essentials will be done. Plus J&J will be out along with Astra Zeneca being approved for the US.
I am hopeful. I just want to be able to travel again.
I would assume the 20% would be given a credit/pass until 2022.
How would they fit that 80% into the 50% allowable?
Maybe have to offer partial plans where you only get to attend four games?
The bigger question should be with full attendance is mask or no mask imo? Unfortunately in the Northeastern States we are looking at masks into 2022.......control
I expect Summer should look pretty normal. Between the large percentage of vaccinations, the natural immunity of people who have already contracted the disease and the seasonality of the virus, rates of infection and COVID deaths will be tiny.
Nobody is going to be able to sell staying in any kind of lockdown at that point. The NFL owners (and everyone else) are going to want that money.
Last year's and this year's golf trip to Ireland have been cancelled. Ireland is basically shut down.
Since I retired the wife and I have done a least one trip per year. So this has been a PIA.

I can deal with the inconvenience of a mask if it means getting back to normal and comfort level of those with compromised immune systems. Hell, the masks have cut seasonal flus to low numbers...
As terrible as the lockdown has been, not getting sick at all during this time has been a nice benefit.

Same here. I might be inclined to wear the mask in public places of commerce during the sick seasons going forward.
even 5 years from now.
I think 90% of the time i've had a cold or been sick in the last 27 years is from public transportation
