to watch the Vince wrestling. There is so much wrestling available on cable and streaming that is fun. Watched Puerto Rico WWC, Josh Barnett's Bloodsport, and Ice Ribbon from Warabi, all from the weekend today (because of no Knick or Ranger game today).
I'm not a Pro Wrestling fan but you have to give him credit
He was a punk kid on Real World and Road Rules and he used that to become a Pro Wrestler, make a family, and have his own reality show. If anything he knows how to market himself
Yeah. I don't hate him. He seems like a hard worker and loves what he does.
That being said, I just wanted to see what everyone's reaction to him winning was. I didn't even know there was a PPV or anything on Sunday night. Just read an article. Maybe it could be worth watching again, of course not.
The good old days were over in 2001, after Vince bought WCW, and with the exception of the invasion angle, that time before Lesnar got there was good.
I guess I'm glad they did something with the MITB contract, since they basically screwed Otis out of it. I'm no Otis fan, but why give it to him to begin with if you are going to take it off him?
I like what they are doing with Bray/Fiend/Alexa. An actual drawn out storyline....novel concept these days. But I'm waaay more interested in NXT than WWE these days.
RE: Miz is terrific on the mic. Probably one of the best right now
his wrestling is suspect but there are a shit ton who blow worse.
the only guy thats made a big transformation is Roman Reigns. The dude is money now.
Roman Reigns has been absolutely fantastic as a heel. Truly great.
Drew McIntyre is also great, but the poor guy got his push during a pandemic. Just unfortunate.
I think that’s the point of the mix cashing in. He loses in short order to lashley and McIntyre regains it at wrestlemania they are hoping to have some crowd there
to hear some of you guys it sounds like I was right to walk away when I did. I stopped when "The Authority" was getting started and I knew it was gonna be "The Corporation" minus Stone Cold. I said thanks but no thanks and never went back
was into it heavily from mid-90s to around 2002(even though i forget a lot of the 2000's storylines). i was def a smark, looking up house show results online, raw tapings, etc.
after the attitude era things went too boring. everyone looks the same. same moves. they all seem to act the same. we really were spoiled with guys from the 90s.
its funny because all the guys i thought deserves big pushes ended up getting them during the time i stop watching lol. benoit, guerrero, RVD.
but trying to watch wrestling now, forget it. forget the lack of storylines, the matches suck. no one even tries to make it look real. no ring psychology. just a series of shitty spots.
i saw a njpw match on youtube yesterday(was posted yesterday) of aj styles vs a taller lanky japanese guy. couldn't figure out his name or the event because it was all in japanese, but that was a pro wreslting match.

That's really what it has been. The fans online scream over and over again to "give this guy a push" (Cena, Becky Lynch) and then they get their shot and fans get tired of them.
That's exactly what happened to me in 2004. When they gave Benoit and Eddie Guerrero the two belts, I said to myself the only reason that these two are Champion is because everybody else has moved on. No way they would have gotten a push as champ in 2000-2001 with Austin, Rock still around and still... sort of, competing with WCW.
I've heard that Miz is one of the nicest, coolest and most generous wrestler with fans. He knows his reputation and he fully embraces it and jokes about it.
Didn't want to give out any spoilers for the people
Really? Hes a fantastic heel.
*in
Beats me
Last show I watched was Mania 2020.
Last show I watched was Mania 2020.
No, it's been worse than the Cena era. Utterly unwatchable garbage.
All of these new guys are wimps.
Social media, know-it-all mark gossip crap talk, annoying crowds, no drugs and roids ruined it.
They make it way too serious. Make it fun again. Oh yeah for the 9 millionth time... commentary sucks.
Won't ever get better. I watch old videos on YouTube all the time.
I mean, his name is the FUCKING MIZ. And, look at him..

Having two main champions is just idiotic.
the only guy thats made a big transformation is Roman Reigns. The dude is money now.
