Wow...praying for a speedy recovery for Tiger.
Tiger Woods was involved in a serious car accident Tuesday morning near Los Angeles and transported to a local hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The one-car rollover crash occurred at 7:12 a.m. local time as Woods' vehicle was traveling north on Hawthorne Blvd. near Blackhorse Rd. on the border of Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates.
According to the LASD, the jaws of life were needed to extract Woods from the vehicle.
Woods, 45, was in Los Angeles for the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational, which his foundation runs. Woods, who is still recovering from a Dec. 23 back surgery, did not play in the tournament at Riviera, but he was on hand Sunday to join CBS' Jim Nantz in the booth and take part in the trophy presentation.
He then stayed in the LA area to do a two-day shoot with Golf Digest/Golf TV at Rolling Hills Country Club, according to Golf Digest, who added that Woods joined Dwayne Wade and David Spade for Monday's portion before not showing up Tuesday.

My thing is if you’re a multi millionaire like him, why not have a regular driver?

Seems to always be getting trouble in his car.

Maybe someone hit him? And can't "regular" drivers get in accidents too?
There's a picture of his car Schefter just posted, yikes.
Looks like he ended up quite a distance from the road.

Ask Tracy Morgan how the 'regular driver' worked out. It is not the solution. Accidents happen.

Tiger’s got a history of DUI. Even if pills/booze were not a factor, the guy travels a shit ton. Why drive jet lagged if you don’t have to? And yes a
regular chauffeur could get into an accident but, the chances would be reduced.

Tracy Morgan’s chauffeur wasn’t at fault. A Walmart truck driver drove 800 miles on no sleep and caused that.
And yes accidents happen. But considering Tiger’s previous history with DUIs and the fact that the dude must travel by plane everywhere, his risk could be reduced by having a professional driver for himself.

He was already in CA; hosted a tournament last weekend and obviously hung out for a day at least after it ended.
This happened around 7:30 a.m. local time; you can see his bags stacked outside the SUV.
He's been in the middle of more back surgeries. Was he medicated today? Don't know.
In the interview I saw (part of) on Sunday, he looked a bit tired, unless I'm just not used to how he looks on camera now (!). He wouldn't express confidence in being able to get into even one prep tournament before the Masters in April.
If he has serious leg injuries (suggested above somewhere?), who knows how long it will be, if ever, before we see that again.
That happened to Ben Hogan. There's a 1951 film, "Follow the Sun," about, starring Glenn Ford.
What are you? 9 years old?
Dude. WTF?
Wouldn't surprise me if they are already speculating his golf career may be over. Seems like that would be jumping the gun unless it was VERY serioius.

People also like to drive and/or get carsick when not driving. I can't stand being a passenger in a car, especially the back seat.
Hoping for a speedy recovery, and also hope it wasn't due to intoxication.
Well, at least you show consistency with bad football and now bad non-football posts. What a chucklehead...

not sure he can make the green from there

Seriously. What an awful post.
Best of luck to Tiger.
I’m on record as disliking Tiger, but I hope this wasn’t a drug or alcohol incident. He’s going to have enough on his plate with his physical recovery.
That makes me think that they are hearing he was badly hurt, even if his life isn't in danger. Certainly hearing he's in surgery for multiple leg injuries suggests that this was a bad accident. And we Giants fans remember Chad Jones, who nearly lost a leg in a single-car accident.

Trust me, there's a reason Florida car insurance is sky high. It's entirely possible it wasn't even his fault. Plus the time and day of the accident makes it seem like he was getting his day started.

That’s going to lead to some questions. I’m sure they did toxicology on him.

It didn't happen in Florida.

lol, right. Or is Tiger the reason for high car insurance in FL?
Hope he’s ok.
1. His (recent) history with driving under the influence of pain meds, etc.
2. His recent back surgery which obviously comes with post op pain
3. He really appeared off in the interview with Nantz at Riviera Sunday.
4. Single vehicle accident at 7am.
I'm no investigator but it isn't a far stretch to think this could be self inflicted. I obviously hope I'm wrong and if I'm right, I truly hope he gets through this and gets the help he needs. I love Tiger.
Hope he’s ok.
Very familiar with that road while driving it to play some the the golf courses there. Not a place where you want to be speeding for sure.

Is an accident trap. Downhill, steep, short approach to stop. Someone is posting on twitter that lives there and says accidents are a regular occurrence there, including herself, the poster.

Stan, isn't PV high school right there?

Yeah. Right across the street.

The poor guy that killed himself a few years ago wadding up his Ferrari with Bill Haas in the passenger seat; same area?
