Just sayin . . . .
I remember watching a game live on TV where a DL filled the hole just as the RB got to it. He buried his helmet in the DL's chest, and for a moment it was standoff. Then the DL flopped over on his back like a turtle, and all he was left with were the RB's cleat marks. Said to myself, "Wait a minute! RB's aren't SUPPOSED to be able to truck DL's?!"
Times have changed.

I would expect nothing less of you.
You're welcome!
Bloody, gory, glorious games!
He could make DB's & LB's unhappier than Marshawn Lynch. Make them wish they were on another planet.
Makes you scratch your head.
Don't it? ;-)

Different playing styles, different eras. Campbell was a power runner, Barkley is a cutback guy.
+1
When I was very young I loved the Steeler/Oiler rivalry. Oilers were a very good team his first couple years but couldn't get over the hump.
The average LB in those days probably weighed 220/225 lbs....Dlinemen were 250-260...DBs in the 180-190 range.
Campbell wreaked havoc on those guys!

Campbell wasn't just a power runner. his acceleration to the line was as good as almost any runner ever and his burst into the open field was near elite. He was the perfect running back.
Would that helmet-to-chest hit Campbell puts on the Rams guy be legal today?

He was a very good player on a good Rams defense, but will forever be known as the guy Campbell ran over (head to chest).

Depends on what kind of day the ref's are having, but technically, it's now a foul. But it's kinda hard to call, as to some degree, all runners should lower their pads when initiating contact and may be partially leading with their heads.

Did the LBs get smaller from the 1960s? To give an example Ray Nitschke, Dave Robinson, and Lee Roy Caffey of the Packers teams of the 1960s were all 6’3”, average 240 lbs, not much smaller than LDE Willie Davis 6’3”, 242 lbs.
Get Barkley a set of those shoulder pads and have him hit the sleds with the OL.
Ha ha, that was the worst rapping I have ever heard. I can’t believe some of the garbage rap that sells nowadays. I’m not a huge rap guy, but I feel like I grew up in the golden age of rap when you had the Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Wu Tang, etc. What happened lol?
He paid a terrible physical price for absorbing all those blows, though. I think he's been essentially disabled, to one degree or another, since about age 50.
