Cattle dog, pit bull, staffordshire. My Lila is kind of similar. I bet your dog is super protective and guards your place fierce. That is Lila's 24x7 job.

Depends on what she's guarding us from, lol. She actually loves every single person shes met, but she will get protective at night if people are walking by all bundled up in hats, etc or if certain dogs walk by. Otherwise she's an absolute goof who will audibly whine at me until I play with her more. She doesn't even do it to the wife, just me. She was a rescue from AL, found pregnant on the side of a dirt road, so we had no real idea what we were getting into (especially since you can see the bully in her face, imo) but thankfully she's great with other dogs, if a bit socially awkward.
Charlie (dachschund) is the elder statesman at 13, Maggie (terrier mix) is a spry 8 years old, and Finn (mountain cur mix) is the baby at around 18 months. Maggie and Finn are both rescues.

Sam Dog - Typical golden, found in road as a pup. Lived with us 13 years.
Lila Dog - Crazy dog w/ crazy genetics. Rescued from sketchy craigslist posting. Still with me after 6 years.
Buddy Dog - Cow puppy found in the road as a pup, adopted him into a good home.
The day Buddy moved out with all his stuff.
Archie looks PISSED!
(We also had a doggie named Archie (full name Archie "Moonlight" Graham.)

Yeah, he was awesome. Every time he ate a meal or had a treat it was like the first time he ever had one. He also loved soft cushions.
Baxter RIP

Haha he was shocked I caught him stealing my sneakers.
When we were fostering him he came with the name "Scott" but we thought it was silly dog name so we changed it when we adopted him
