Frasier Crane is still listening. The hit 90s sitcom "Frasier" is set to return to screens, with Kelsey Grammer reprising his role as radio psychiatrist Frasier Crane in the reboot, ViacomCBS confirmed Wednesday. The show, which ended 17 years ago, starred Grammer in the persnickety titular character and was a ratings success during its 11-year run. It will be a flagship offering on ViacomCBS's new streaming service Paramount+. It will be the second time Grammer, 66, reprises the role that has defined his career -- having first appeared as Crane in the mid-80s on the equally beloved series "Cheers." But there was no word as to whether his supporting cast members will join him in the new series, meaning the future of Frasier's brother Niles, played by David Hyde Pierce, and Jane Leeves' Daphne remain unclear. |
Yes Punky Brewster is indeed a revival... Punky's all grown up and has her own family. But it does look like she's bringing a Punky like character who needs a home into her family...
Good clarification.
Her promotion leads to all types of storylines as the state bought the hospital and the governor appointed her CEO.
I don't know if she would leave that show for a Frazier reboot or maybe she could try to do both?
I loved the original and would be happy to just have it as that.
Watching it again here and there on Hulu.
Watched the trailer, Punky has grown into quite the SNACK!
The article I read speculated that it's going to use the same premise as the original, only with a now aging Frasier needing to move in with Freddie. I'd give it a chance, but I suspect it wouldn't work.
I don't know if it was 'minor'. He was a pretty significant character in 'Cheers'.
New Jersey?
Please, please don't fuck all this up by just focusing on the storyline and not ... eye-roll... other things.
I wouldn't be surprised if it still sucks.
Reading the tea leaves with Dexter, I've read that everyone involved with Dexter weren't happy with the last couple of seasons, and they are going to try and make up for that, which gets me excited.
