future ahead of him, but I think IQ is better now and will have a better overall career. If we took Halliburton over Obi, we probably wouldn't have taken Quickley later on.
Saying he thought guy looked like a ball boy. What a fun team to watch. No jealously with these guys, they all really like playing with each other. Burks was great, quickly great and I know you all want Frank to fail but frankie smokes +17 2nd best on the team and the shooting form looks really good, did lots of frank things on defense. Barret played really well and didn’t force anything. Hope Payton is out for a few more games so we can watch the line up we saw tonight.
Didn't see the game, so I missed SAC's traveling if any, but Toppin took four steps before his slam on a Frank fast break pass.
The Knicks are holding their own in a league crammed with .500 teams. I would like to see Toppin progress enough to give Randle a breather. If Randle continues to play these minutes, he'll be on oxygen by April.

I don’t think anybody wants Frank to fail...we just break your stones sometimes for being such a loyal supporter of his.
I’m on record believing we should go with other guys, but if he earns his time and plays well, all the better. I’m just a fan sharing a few opinions on a message board, I’d always rather be wrong and see a guy succeed
I do wonder if he starts getting minutes in the hopes he shows something and boosts his trade value. We will see
NBA website has video of Burk's 17 point 4th quarter

Let's just say that the Kings are proficient in the Eurostep
RE: Refs don't call traveling any more in this league

He is playing 37 minutes a night that is normal for a teams best player
How did Halliburton look? Saw some highlights. He's been
putting a great stats, seems like a heady player, but that floating shot of his is hard to stomach.
Solid overall - some great passes, disruptive on defense. Frank locked him up at times but he still scored 17 points. He may not be a future star, but he’s pretty damn good.

He's really good. He is. And he's a very well-rounded player. But as I said earlier, I'm happy we didn't draft him over Obi because then we probably wouldn't have taken Quickley, who I think is better and has more potential overall.
but if you heard Thibs talk about Quickley when asked, there wouldn't be any theorizing online that he doesn't want the kid to play. Called him a great shooter we have every confidence in because of how he works and prepares. Not paraphrasing, a direct quote. "Great shooter".
we were able to land Lamelo and Quickley. That would have been something. Hope Obi continues to improve, I think having a top flight PG with great vision would really improve his game

His career average is under 30. I do also agree that if Obi improves it would greatly help the team especially by keeping Randle fresh
that Toppin struggles to dribble and handle the ball. Did he have these issues in college? Are his hands small? It seems like he's figuring out how to play basketball or something.
I like but the whole seems less than the sum of the parts. Bagley, Barnes, Fox, Haliburton, and Hield are all interesting pieces of varying value, but as a group they can't stop anyone.
in the third last night when the Kings were making their run and Rose and Randle both appeared to be gassed. They both had some bad turnovers and were bricking makeable shots. Other than our defense, the other strength of the team is that we have decent depth. Thibs is just so damn rigid with this substitution patterns. Whatever, a win is a win.
that people are rooting for Frank to fail? so if you criticize a player you are rooting for them to fail? Id rather be wrong and thr Knicks win and thebplayer plays great than be right and the team suffers..
No one is rooting for Frank to fail
this game featured the worst offensive team in the NBA (Knicks)
If you go on Twitter most Knicks fans love frank and appreciate what he brings to the game. I think people in here are just hung up on the fact that he was a top 10 pick and doesn’t score a lot. To me he is still 22 and I see upside. I think he can shoot 40 percent from 3 and be a lock down individual defender and a great team defender. He has a high IQ and will do the dirty work that gets his team pumped. He is clearly not a PG because he doesn’t have a good handle, but he does exhibit other qualities that pgs have. I don’t see any reason why he cant become a 25/30 minute player in this league down the road. I see him in the final 5 of a line up down the stretch in a tight game, who can guard the other teams best player and knock down a 3 when needed, this is down the road in 3-4 years. It obviously won’t be with the Knicks. I will agree with many on here that his biggest downside is he has been very brittle.
We already know multiple contenders have tried to pry him from the Knicks, there is a reason for that. If Knicks have no intention of signing him in the offseason then I guess trading him makes sense unless you want him for the playoffs. There is no reason Payton ir bullock should be playing over him, it makes no sense.
This team really seems to enjoy playing together. Been a lot of fun to watch this year.
I have no idea how anyone could say that fans are rooting against Frank. If anything it’s the opposite- I’ve never seen a fan base get more excited over a guy doing so little.
At least we aren’t Kings fans. Imagine drafting Bagely over Doncic? Man oh man that’s a bad one.
but it's quite possible the biggest road block in Frank's development or level of play has been availability. I mean it sure seems like the guy misses 50 games (60%) of every season. He's always out. Even year's past, you'd finally catch a glimpse of potential after 2-3-4 weeks of garbage play, and then he'd miss the next 1-2 months. Rinse. Repeat.
I'd sure like to see Frank stay healthy from here on out and play 15-20 mins a night, EVERY night, before we officially bury his career here.
There is no reason Payton ir bullock should be playing over him, it makes no sense.
That's silly. Frank has never been able to contribute anything close to what Payton has done even in this recent stretch of good play that Payton's had. And nobody loves Payton whatsoever. They'd ship him out of town in a minute. This isn't a BBI thing.
It's fine to think Frank has potential, but he hasn't done anything to deserve taking minutes from even a guy like Payton.

you nailed it. He's given us glimpses...and then he gets hurt. He's never going to be a starting lead guard, but I think the few things he does do well can help a team win games. I'm still holding out hope he can be our version of Marcus Smart. But he's probably going to be on another team next season.
And he wants Walton fired after the game.
:P

im surprised he wasnt fired laat year
I can't imagine that has happened often.
Even Rivers could be a nice rotation player. We've seen that from him. And Knox can provide some 3P shooting.

T4. Wiseman
T4. Maxey
T4. Saddiq Bey
3. Lamelo Ball (2 games)
2. A. Edwards (3 games)
1. Quickley (4 games)
And this is not a knock on Ball. He's been really, really damn good.

The worst offensive team in the NBA scored 140 points.
I think Thibs is onto something (i.e., defense > offense). Obviously you need both though. Anyway, fun win.
There are Frank haters out there, though. :-)

When he was a mediocre player, sure.
36-37 minutes is very normal. No one's going to worry about him playing 36 mpg.
Lebron is 36 years old. Nobody cares more about load managment than him, and he plays 34 minutes a night.
Chris Paul is 35 with creaky knees, plays 32 a night.

and it is not Frank people hate, it his loyalists who thibk he can do no wrong
If you just need him to play defense and score less than 10 a night, no one should be having feelings.
