Game is at 8:30 p.m. tonight. I don't see any news on Payton as of yet. We are still currently in sole possession of 4th place in the east. Winning this game would go a long way in the standings with one more game against Detroit remaining. Being up 3 games over .500 is better than 1 game (no shit). The east is not the west by any stretch but the east is a really tight race right now.
games like this happen to everyone in the nba, clippers lost by 50 to the mavs, it happens

Why would rose out help?
Just to see what we have in the pipeline....and not much at this point.

Because of one game?
Need another guy who can get you 20 on a nightly basis..
What? lol
Obi and the DAL 1 for Lonzo.
Yeah, Warriors fans know all about that.
This is a troll but I'm not sure why it exists.
He also said people have been whispering in his ear Kawhi Leonard, but he said he doesnt believe Kawhi will leave his home state...
The catch is the Suns are great now. 2nd in the West. Can't ask out of that situation.

Exactly but what happens when cp3 leaves?
Wes is very close with Booker so you know hr is in his esr
He's "stuck" in the crowded west though, and the Suns are notoriously cheap. I don't really buy the stuff about market though. He gets plenty of coverage. I feel like Dame Lillard is more of an afterthought than Booker.

the 2 all star appearances are fugzi to him though, both were because of injury..

Lol I mean it depends on how you feel about Phoenix. I've never been, and I've heard good things, but if I'm 25 and an NBA All Star I'd probably rather be in a bigger city.
This team needs a guy who can create his own offense other then randle. Last night was tough to watch. RJ can do it sometimes but not enough (yet, maybe he gets there but not yet), IQ same thing.
He definitely played. 2-5 from 3, 1 rebound, that's it. He can shoot a bit and other than that is basically completely useless as a basketball player. I'd rather have the dude from our G League team.
I think Thibs actually tanked this game, much he's generally the anti-tanker.
Beat Detroit tomorrow and we go into the ASB above .500.
- It's obvious but they need to upgrade from Bullock. He really needs to be bench player and not a starter.
- Frank's shoot looks much improved. He clearly can't play point but he deserves a shot as a wing.
- Toppin really struggles on all facets of defense. I know its ridiculously early but can he really be a starter for a good NBA team?
Get the win on Thursday in Detroit and be above 500 going to the break. All things considered that is a fantastic 1st half.
Lastly, anyone find Alan Hahn's background with the emmys ridiculous?
Phoenix is the 5th biggest city in the country

Well that's news to me, although I'd venture a guess that it's much lower in rankings in terms of actual fanbase.
I would love for Booker to be in NY.
The issue the Suns are going to have are CP3's future and Sarver's cheapness. That could lead to issues but I don't see any young players itching to leave that area...

It's not the 5th biggest metro area. The San Francisco Bay area is.

at least Knox got some playing time and was able to showcase his skillset for a potential trading partner or additional time in the rotation

Lol I was going to say... quite the low floor for him playing well. 19 minutes 2-5 from 3, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 0 steals... he did absolutely nothing last night he hasn't done all season. Solid from 3, absolutely nothing else. Last night neither raised his trade value or gave him an argument for more PT unless it's "well he wasn't laughably bad"
That's swell. I didn't say it was the 5th biggest metro area, I said it's the 5th biggest city.

It’s kind of interesting that the Knicks broadcast team were wondering about that a couple games ago when he did it, and reached out to Alias Sports to ask if anyone else had ever done better and were told they didn’t have that info and would get back to them. Later in the game they said when Alias looked into it the stats for that only went back twenty years and in that time no other player had ever equaled that number. So I guess the Knicks broadcast team gets an “assist” for Quickley getting recognized for that.
I want Lonzo but I dunno about thaat
Lonzo is the best asset there.

picks. The best asset there is a cost controlled Obi.

He would be if he wasnt about to be a RFA

Do you think there's any chance the team that has him doesn't match whatever offer is made? Where else are we getting a PG who can dish and shoot 40% from 3?
Lonzo would have to scare the Pelicans into trading him, i.e. turn down any extension offers and threaten to play on the qualifying offer next season and then become unrestricted in 2022. Very few players have managed to pull that off.
I think if Lonzo does come available, multiple teams and going to want him and I'm not sure that offer is all that great. Would depend on how many picks and their respective protections.
But yeah, Obi plays the same position as our best player and we need guards to build around.
To be clear, i'd be in favor of a Lonzo trade.
