... without Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania would just be a whiter, colder, meaner version of Alabama. After living in NE PA, I can second his assessment.

I lived down near Philly for 2 years. Enjoyed my time there, but this is spot on.
Despite their Neanderthal fans, Philly is a sneaky cool city. And we can only dream of NYC building sports arenas of the quality (and accessibility) they have down there.
But drive about 15 miles west of Philly, bring your rifle and your mullet to fit in
Well, from my experience Philadelphia must be absolutely the worst jurisdiction in the country for getting a desired COVID vaccine, so it’s got that going for it.

I live 100 miles west of Philly. I DON'T have a mullet! And I DON'T own a gun!
(But your inference of the way things are out here are spot-on....)
Always enjoyed visiting in and around Philly as the
city certainly has character and plenty of characters.
Bars and food was always good. My brother lived in a townhome on South Street for a few years and that was always lively area to walk around and have a good time.
... is the number of folks who seem to think Pennsylvania backed the wrong side in the Civil War. Or maybe they just think the Confederate Battle Flag is pretty.
Like others have said I dislike the Eagles but the city has some good. Every state has good and bad. Pa has some rednecks and and some rural areas have great people.
Of Philadelphia but doesn't NYC have a statue of Ralph Kramden?
OMG busted. In front of the Port Authority Bus Terminal no less. Well, at least that one isn't on the NYC Public Library steps...
And I was inferring to King Jagiello on horseback in Central Park, as the idea that one need not use fictional characters as models of heroes...lol on me with Ralph Kramden's statue.
Moved to Lehigh County and lived there for 6 years. Now I am live in Montgomery County and it's really not as bad down here as everyone thinks here. I've ran into more Phillies fans and I can deal with them more than the Eagles fans. There is a guy at the dispensary I go to who wears a Giants hat all the time.
I don't like the teams, that doesn't prevent me from enjoying the city and the burbs. It's got its problems just like every city. I've met more shitty people up near Wilkes-Barre than in Philadelphia.

I lived in Philly for a year and I think I might like it more than NYC. Part of that is that I lived in Center City. But it's got a ton do, is very walkable, and is more manageable than NYC.
How does this make any sense? Adam is butt hurt because of the lame, boring and uninformed thread topic you just had to start?
Philly is a very cool city...cooler than NYC at this point. Sure Philly fans suck, but so much of the cooler neighboyhoods are occupied by transplants from other parts of Jersey, ny and the burbs. The townies are mostly in NE, South Philly and Roxborough and East Falls.
Outside of the Eagles, I love Philadelphia. I've never had a bad time there. I can't wait to post up at Monk's & have Pliny the Elder.
Why go to a Belgian Cafe to drink an Aperican IPA? Just saying, pop one of those Belgian Triples and drift off into bliss.
I used to work right in Rittenhouse on the park at a restaurant there. When I wad working a double, I would go there on my break for lunch and have a couple with my co-worker. We would walk back into work all red-faced with stupid grins on our faces.
Not a fan of most things Philly but they are a pretty damn great rock and roll concert city.
I love going to concerts there and like they are for their sports teams (all of which I can’t stand) they’re pretty passionate in their support of bands, eg Bruce, Genesis, Pearl Jam, The Stones to name a few.

I grew up in North Jersey, been here in for the last 10 years due to marriage later in life, wife's job, etc. This area is quite the change...
There is little difference between Philly and Pitts (I DO like Philly overall; history, food, bars....). The space in between the two cities is commonly known as Pennysltucky. THEN, there is big difference between Lancaster and York. Lancaster being more up-to-date except for the Amish perhaps.
York....yeesh...school system sucks, the city is a mess with gangs and drugs, health care is awful, food around here is terrible...then, (confederate drum roll please...) there IS a chapter of a white supremacist organization that actually calls York 'home'. I see more confederate flags in a day on people's lawns and trucks than I would traveling through much of the south. And guns? The Pentagon calls central PA when they need more ammo or hardware. Mullets and 80's hair styles reign. People's health/weight is atrocious.
Yes, we are looking to relocate ASAP now that kids are in college.
You might try wearing butt hurt more casually?
😂🤣
The only one that matters in Philly is Chris

Tadeusz Kosciuszko? He helped in a big way to win your freedom.
I also like the little mermaid statue in Copenhagen.
I also like the Molly Malone statue in Dublin.
I visit Bethlehem PA frequently. It's a great place to live despite the Eagles fans.
As we should.

I thought you were trolling not posting this as an NFT. If this is a legit football thread, fuck the Eagles.

My bad, it SHOULD have been an NFT I guess. Unless the statues of Foles and Pederson qualify it as "Football".
🤔
