Desperate teams should not have that month head start taken away from them..
I completely disagree with this. IMO, there shouldn’t be a reward to teams that want to rush to be the first team to fire its HC so it can be the first in line for the newest flavor of month HC candidates.
I'm surprised its being offered by a winning team. Under the current system, assistants on winning teams are penalized and held back while losing teams are hiring each other's retreads as soon as the regular season is over.
giving any team a competitive advantage. I don't know if this is the ultimate solution but coaches should not be out of the process because of a teams success.
The Super Bowl. This way everyone gets interviewed around the same time and a team can wait a week if they interviewed someone they liked from the Super Bowl teams.
Terry & Kim Pegula have become the model , hipster owners of the NFL. They run with the cool kids . Therefore , we in Syracuse now get the Bills on the local FOX station , thereby preempting the Giants 4 times a year .
2. The Bills are advocating this precisely because they have a good team . They don’t want their playoff weeks disrupted by job interviews . If this recommendation takes root , utter chaos will prevail in the weeks following the Super Bowl . What is the typical off -season front-office and coaching staff turnover ? Maybe 20%. The teams looking won’t have their programs in place by the combine , were it a normal year .
It's a couple of weeks in an otherwise quiet time of the season, I don't see that it hurts new coaches very much.

+1 But this is too logical a proposal to go anywhere.
