not a human addition. We've been looking for a second dog for a while.
The rescue we work with brought up a littler of Rotweiler/Shepherd mixes from Arkansas they call shotties or rottie shepherds or shepweiler - whatever, it's going to be a big dog.
We had the meet and greet tonight and our dog and family all got along great with him. So we pick him up Friday.
He is 11 weeks old right now and has paws like a lion, the people at the rescue said they expect him to grow to 75 - 100 pounds.
We are not keeping the current name, so trying to come up with a better one, any suggestions? I'll post a picture in the next post since I can't get images to work in the OP.
Diesel wasn't vetoed. Jacob and Frankie got axed.
I also suggested Mookie, Hubie, Petey, and some other Mets names (along with all the Giants names).
It is a fairly unique name and covered an interest of his, so while I have no name for you, perhaps you can go down a similar route and use a foreign word that describes her personality.
We like to go for "real" names that are somewhat unique (and have an Irish origin).
Anyway, first thing I thought of when i saw his pic was "Rody/Rodie." Don't know why, but he will be making a road trip to get to you. LOL.
I'll lend you what I was thinking for our next dog (if my wife wins that battle) - "Preston." (from the movie Can't hardly Wait. "Presto-o-o-one!"

Guinness.
I like that, unique.
My next door neighbors dog is Indiana Jones, they call him Indy. A beagle, such a great dog.
That's funny. We have an "Indy". He's a Labradoodle. Named after the Indianapolis Motor Speedway though. We're race fans. I also have an Eli (turtle), a Prince (lab) and an Osi (cat) all named after Giants.

He's a dude, that's kind of a chick name or at least a feminine male.
:(
Fine, now I feel bad since I made you sad.
I'll suggest it, but my kids consider Brett the male Karen so I doubt they support it.
I thought Chad was the male Karen?

Good looking dog Pj. Congrats.
Got to get it down to 2 names and then do what you said...spend the day and see what sticks more
Picked him up tonight, he's pretty chill for 12 weeks old, my other dog (a female) "likes him likes him" as my teenager says, they're both fixed (spayed/neutered) but I guess nature is still nature to an extent.
Anyway, seems like he's going to be a great dog (for as much as you can tell after 3 hours lol).
thank you again for the suggestions.
